    Default Most embarrassing parenting moments...

This afternoon I had my most embarrassing parenting moment to date - so bad I can't even bring myself to re-live it to write it out 😕

Please share your embarrassing public parenting moments so I don't feel quite so awful!

Today my ds threw himself on the floor in the middle of the checkouts at our hardware store. He had run off out the doors and I'd grabbed him. When he threw himself on the floor he tripped me over and I landed on his hand and his head had also hit the floor. Cue him screaming in pain and hundreds of judgemental eyes in my direction.

Needless to say I quickly paid for my items and ran out of there in tears

Oh you have to share gumnut babies!!

Mine was a few weeks ago while standing with DS at a work function for DH. We were talking to one of his important clients, I had DS by the hand, when this awful fart smell overcame us. DS looks at me and say "mama, you do poo?" Then starts pulling the back of my pants down to 'check my nappy' then says "you got poos mama! Ewwww".

I would have been happy for the ground to swallow me! ...and no, I was NOT the one who farted!

When my daughter (age 3ish) saw a larger gentleman in the supermarket and yelled out "Mum..look at that BIGGGG man, look mum, Big man"...god the shame The man didn't hear at that point, and I shopped as quickly as possible avoiding the poor man, only to line up at the tills and the same man pulled in behind us...he heard her that time..She would not let up despite me shusshing her. She was just making an observation and her eyes were as wide as saucers "Big man, mum, BIG man!!" She had no clue she was being offensive. Of course I apologised profusely...the shame. Needless to say we had a "conversation" in the car on the way home.

I don't usually get too embarrassed luckily!

Although a little while ago I was in a cafe with DS and he went over to a table full of strangers, took a woman's bottle of Coke Zero and said 'hey! Dat mummy's coffee!' and brought it back to me.

And yesterday he marched into cc and announced 'mummy don't want me to touch her bagina and nipples'. Which is true, I suppose, but, weird...
