@JulieMalloolley, DP is having a varicocele embolisation action done. Light sedation, little incision in the groin area, radiologist feeds some kind of surgical wire (I think!) into the veins & down to the testes, has a look to find the dodgy veins causing the problems, then he embolises them by putting teeny tiny minuscule little coils in there. This stops the blood pooling there (just like with varicose veins in the legs) & forces the blood to travel another route instead. So the hope is that within a few months, his sperm has regenerated & the new sperm will be better bcos it doesn't end up getting overheated anymore. The radiologist had said he expects 20-50% improvement. Which would be an absolute blessing. It might really be the difference in us getting preggers in the end.
@blossum74, ur a sweetheart looking after those animals.. And it's good karma to to that despite all you've been dealing with you still have helped them. We've definitely got a bunch of animal lovers in here- but lots of people don't give a shiz about animals... Especially someone else's animals. But I believe in the words of the great man Gandhi 'the greatness of a nation & it's moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals'.. And I've always believed that's true for an individual as well. I hope this karma comes back at you tenfold!
@Caesardust, hoping for great news for you today. Sounds like u need some happy news. Am sorry about ur uncle. Has he been sick luv or has the news been from out of the blue?
@Tahli.. Ur definitely UTD hon!! That's sooooo exciting!!!

Afm... Start jabbing today.. And running twice as hard on the bleedin treadmill to try & counteract the pred & all this extra oestrogen LB has me on.. 6mg of progynova & 2 patches to be changed second daily.. The chemist warned 'side effects may be weight gain and mood swings'

great.. Well it's all for the greater cause.. Bring it on....

    Hi to everyone else!!!
Wow @Charlie74, I've never even heard of that type of op. Boy, the things they can do !! I'm lying in bed this morning (feeling pretty crap today) and cursing the prednisone, progy, provera. I feel so floppy and run down and I'm blaming all those drugs. Yes, all for the greater good, but I will be so happy to get off them. Appt next Friday with Dr M to go over the weaning off plan yay. Urgh I hate these changes in my body. I said again to DP this morning that my tummy will never look like this ever, ever again (after twins). Its sad to think that, and probably over-vain, but hopefully I won't care after our house is full of babies...
