Would the council or laws officers not come and take the animals due to neglect?

Or.. if you don't get a chance to get much of a word in, just as soon as you see her just say 'thank god you are ok !' Then add in the bit about the animals later if you get a chance.

After all, she DID tell you she had a psycho ex, why wouldn't you be worried ? If she was a decent human being you probably WOULD be genuinely worried, but since she's not, you are right in saving all of your concern for those poor animals.

@Blossom74 i like @JuliaLooleys plan. That would work. Its time to sit back with a cuppa and relax. Sending hugs.

You've probably only got the trots @Tahli because you've got yourself worked up into an anxiety/excitement frenzy - and rightly so 😄
When I used to do triathlons, I would get anxious before and without fail have explosive diahorrea before each race. Your tumultuous belly will do that to you. That's the verdict from Dr Malooley

Yes @midnite, I think that's what the Police were meaning by getting a third party involved - seizing the animals.

Frankly that would be the better outcome for them anyway - at least they could be re-homed and have happier lives.

If she comes back to them they will not be fed properly. I saw that she gave the dog 2 dim sims for dinner before I left. Two bl@@dy dim sims, for a 6 month old dog. WTF?!

No wonder the poor thing didn't know what a bone was when I gave it to him.

Yes, I'm just going to say "Thank God you are ok! When you said you'd be back on Tuesday, and didn't come home, and then you didn't show up the following Tuesday I was so worried!"

@Infinity, we have already sold our garage stuff I did that as soon as I knew things were getting tight. There is nothing left to sell unfortunately.

The house will get fixed some way - it's not legal to not fix these things - they are considered urgent repairs. Going by what the plumber said though, they have to organise digging equipment and all sorts of things, and it might well take a few days. They don't work on weekends, apparently....

I have to go to work this week and am thinking I should go on Monday. I reckon any major works will happen on Tuesday, so I should get back early enough if I leave early that morning.

    Blossom

@Blossom74 Bloody Hell Luv!! What a drama!!!

I had the same thing happen to me in a rental place many, many moons ago and the plumber came out and used his worm thingy to try to clear the pipe but tree roots under the ground had wrapped around the pipe we found out when it burst and sh!t quite literally flooded the backyard!!!

Yes...my backyard was inundated by a tsunami of effluent!! You can imagine the smell too can't you?? A real "Kodak Moment" it was!! Thank Christ they fixed it the same day!!!

Anyhoo Luv....the "Nutjob Neighbour" issue!!! @JulieMalooley's plan is a good one!! The Police are a bit blasé aren't they with the "toss a biscuit over the back" advice?? It wouldn't sit well with me either Luv and I'd keep on feeding them until either she got home or the Police organised for them to go to a shelter or something (then it wouldn't be your fault or your doing).

Go and put your feet up, have a cuppa and something decent to eat Luv ok?? Have a time out until DH gets home then later on go and have a nice, long bath to unwind. You've had an emotionally and mentally exhausting day and enough is enough for now I reckon!!

Thanks BIB. I'm actually feeling a bit teary today too, so that doesn't help matters. I guess I've had so much going on of late and put a lot of stuff to the back burner rather than dealing with it.

I am going to go for a walk and hopefully by the time I get home hubby will be back from work.

I think I mentioned with my 'diet' that I have been allowing myself one small treat a day? I am certainly looking forward to it tonight.

    Blossom
