@Blossom74 fabulous news on the weightloss you must be working hard.
Sorry to hear about your bt stupid bt stupid. I too had to have a hcg bt today with full flow af. Stupid bt oh and mine will cost me like $200 because of stupid medicare cycling or some crap. Grrr

AFM well spoke to dh and we have decided to do our last cycle. I asked clinic and they have increased my gonal f dose to 450 and starting on stims on sat. So back to back. I dont want to cycle over Christmas. So this is it for us no matter what the outcome. I will also be on certotide as well this time. Im exhausted and cant do this for another year or anymore. I need to let it go.

So in the next few weeks i need a plan b for next year. I need help from you all to plan a new life IF this doesn't work out. I'm going into this cycle planning for only plan b. Anything else will be a bonus. Its all i can manage. So if we have any ideas please throw them at me. PLAN B ???

Please Has anyone done a Estrogen Priming Protocol with Wazza and how long did it take? I'm trying to work out my Plan B and wondering if I can squeeze one in before Christmas if I start in around 2 weeks.... They're six weeks long aren't they? 2 weeks on birth control, 2 week stim, EPU, transfer, then 2ww??

@infinity888 next time you feel like an o/s holiday, why not try Cape Town. For a bit extra you can do a donor egg cycle while you are there? You have plenty of time up your sleeve to think about that one... obviously its the best thing I ever did. It doesn't feel even remotely like these two aren't mine.
You'll probably know the answer after this cycle - if your result is no better and you still reallllllly want a bub, you'll be surprised how quickly you get used to the idea.
.... although reading your post again it sounds like you want a plan B that does not include IVF so maybe Europe ? I'd love to go to Europe but its always been too big a holiday and I've never had enough money to consider it. Ironic that we managed to come up with probably triple that for IVF when it came to the crunch. Hmm.

@Corbes thanks hun. My plan b will not be kid friendly for now. DH and i decided no DE for us along time ago so we are at peace with this being our last hoorah. As far as adoption goes need to be away from ivf for at least 12 months before applying is qld policy but it may be something we consider down the track but for now I need a new pathway. So o/s hols sound nice. Not sure about skiing i pick up alot of people from boating accidents in my job haha

    @Infinity,

First up, congratulations on deciding to do another cycle. I've never used Citrotide myself but it is now on my list of things to ask about at my next appointment I am hoping everything works out and you don't need a Plan B, but on the off chance it will be called for I suppose it depends on whether you intend to push on for a baby by other means, or accept that you won't be following that path.

If you do decide to try for a baby by other means (and are financially able to do so) I would seriously look at egg donation. Certainly all these trips to CT seem to be paying off, and if I had the funds I'd be onto that like white on rice.

It's hard for me to imagine being able to come to an acceptance of not having a child, and therefore I have difficulty composing a Plan B in that regard. I think that rather than accepting it, it will be decided for me by my finances and will not so much be about accepting it but simply understanding that no matter how much I want it, I can't have it. Anyway, I can give you a list of things I'd like to do one day, with or without child....

    1. Get on top of my weight. I mean, really sort that sh!t out. Eat like a grown up instead of a kid. Be responsible - long term - for what goes into my body. Start up, enjoy and stick to some kind of exercise plan which I can carry forward. Learn respect for myself. Appreciate that whilst my body may/may not be able to give me a child, it is none-the-less a marvelous machine and should be treated accordingly.

    2. Learn how to relax and just 'be' rather than spending my life worrying, as I usually do. Find some peace. Figure out my place in the universe, as well as my purpose.

    3. Figure out what I want to be when I grow up, and take the steps to be it! That might be learning to do a job I've always dreamed of doing, or starting up my own business. Either way - I want to be happy to go to work, know I'm doing good, and feel I'm doing what I was always meant to do.

    4. Work on my relationship to ensure it does last into the future, and it is happy. This is something I have neglected for the past year or so, and I know I have to invest more time so that I don't fall back on my old ways and just run for the hills like I used to do when things get tough.

    5. Get some finances. Then sort them out. Try and save some money for later on. De-clutter my life - including all those drawers I can't shut properly because they are filled with cr@p.

    6. Buy my dream home. Little weatherboard on a few acres in the middle of freakin' nowhere. Don't go into competition for it with me - it's mine! But you know what I mean - find my haven.

    7. Forgive the people who have done me wrong. This is a biggie, and will be a life-long work I think. I don't forgive easily but I sense I will grow as a person if I can.

    8. Find a hobby I love with a passion. Other than eating. And doing nails.

    9. Surround myself with animals - dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits. Animals = happiness for me.

    10. See the world. Experience things. Take in as much of life as I can.

That's all I can think of for now. I dunno if that's the sort of stuff you're after?

Sorry @Infinity. I see you have already decided against egg donation.

Please ignore the first part of my post. (Feel free to ignore the rest of it if you like too!)

@JulieMalooley you may be right on DE side of things. We just dont have finances or emotional resources to continue. The DE part doesnt bother me. I would even adopt. We may change our minds lol but we definitely have agreed on no more ivf for at least a year.We are both exhausted. So my plan b has to be a different one

Will certainly forward on additions to the list @Infinity. There will always be more things I want to do and try

Ever see the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun"? That looks amazing to me. To be able to immerse yourself into another country and culture.

    Especially if there is pasta!

Great news greenlady on your results. Cheering you on from the bh sidelines.

Corbes. What a ripper result!! Much needed on this thread of late.

I called my fn first thing and she said not to worry about the trigger and that I got most of it in so should be fine. She also said she would ask about a day 3 transfer and low and behold they agreed to it so transfer set for Monday now. Much happier with that result. Now I just need to pray for good numbers and quality so a couple make it to day 5 for freezing so I've got some back up. Please please please!!!!

Hi to everyone else today. Still catching up on all your news.
