    Default Vitex Angus castus

Has anyone used this for PMT? In particular irritability and anger?

    Hi @babyla.
This doesn't really apply to your post but I saw your other one and thought I'd comment.
I recently went to my GP and said I'd become a stark raving lunatic. ... very crazy. .angry. .depressed... lots of symptoms like you described in your other thread.
She thinks I might have pmdd (premenstrual dysmorphic disorder ). I'd never heard of it.
I started taking yasmin pill again this month as this is one way of treating it.
I know you've recently had a baby. ..so I'm not sure whether it's the same thing.
Look it up. A simple Google gives you same info as my GP did.

I use vitex for PMDD, which is like extreme PMS, along with PMS support (magnesium zinc and one of the B vitamins). I've had really amazing results on it. I also went to a nutritionist, cut out all alcohol, excess sugar and salt and reduced my caffeine intake to 1 coffee per day plus I now go to the gym 5 days per week.. I'm really happy with the results and DH is amazed at the change in me. I can't take the pill and I'm reluctant to use SSRIs so this has really been a lifesaver.

Edited to add, I do still have a few bad days now and then where I feel like minim some sort of energy sapping vortex and can't think clearly and get frustrated and extremely angry over nothing. However it's down from about 10 days per month to one or two at the most. The rest of the time I'm happy and full of energy.

This is interesting. I'm definitely looking up this vitex stuff.
I'm back on the pill to help with endometriosis too.
And I've started trying to exercise more.

Definitely look into it. I don't know if you can take the pill with it though. Since I can't take the pill for other reasons my only other option was SSRIs (10 days per month) or trying out the strict diet and exercise in combo with vitex and PMS support. So far so good!

I've found something better than vitex. It's called Premular.
    AMAZING!

I didn't know there were so many fellow PMDDers out there!
Vitex is working well for me. Along with magnesium. Good luck x

Me either! I posted a little while ago about it and got no responses.
