    Default Which spelling?

Interested to know which spelling people prefer - Rafael or Raphael? And how would you shorten each of them?

I think it is such a cute name. I would probably go for Rafael and then shorten to 'Raffy'

I'm not sure how this is relevant to the OP?

I've always seen it spelt Raphael. I'd still shorten it to Raf/Raffy.

Hi there, I like Rafael, Shortened to Raf. I don't like Raphael shortened to Raph. If it is going to be shortened, I reckon its easier if the letters stay the same iykwim. Ie I wouldn't shorten Raphael to Raf.
