    Default Vacating a property

Does anyone know if you give less than 28 days notice to vacate a property and it runs into the next month does that mean you have to pay for another whole month or just that week ?

Nope just the period of your vacate notice, so in this case the 28 days rent. ( I'm assuming the fixed term has/would have expired)

Yes it will expire on 23rd November...what would happen to thay few days over the 28 day period? Like if i gave notice on Wednesday and the 28 days fell on the 27th day which was 1 day after our normal lease date then would we pay for that day for example ?

The agent will work out a daily rent amount and give you an account for the extra days

Yes you would, if you are required to give 28 days notice you need to pay for all those 28 days

OK great. Thanks for your help. We are applying for a rental and if successful it might be a few days over the 28 day period. Was stressed that we'd have to pay for another month!
