I just decided to blow it and get dd1 home for Christmas. Her work had said she couldn't have time off and than dropped her down to one shift a week to save money. I can find flights but finding a cattery that has a vacancy is proving difficult. I am hoping and praying to find one tomorrow. I really feel she needs to come home for a few days. I haven't asked her yet but I am sure she will go for it if I can find away.

I completely understand. I went to Bangkok recently with my Mum for 5 days (it was a present from my parents for getting through this year's breast cancer ordeal). I had such a great time, when I came home I was flat and moderately-depressed for about 2 weeks.

My advice?...Start planning your next holiday! I am working on Mum to go back to Bangkok next year...I'll be paying my way next time.

2 weeks is generally how long it takes me to get over my post-holiday blues. By which time I have eventually faced all the washing (mostly the kids' washing), and unpacked my suitcase!!

    Cheer up, sweetie

Annoyed. I updated outlook on my computer and now it runs ridiculously slow and keeps freezing. I work from home so now it's nearly impossible to get anything done! I'm not tech savvy so have no idea how I would fix it

Also try finding a cat/animal/house sitter as well.

I have been contemplating a Grey's rewatch binge watch for ages now! I just finished season 11 and all the flashbacks made me nostalgic for the early years. I did Dawson's creek a few years ago, best decision I've ever made. Not a waste of a day.

Ps...also love to see you have the subtitles on. There's no other way.

I am too tired to function. If only I could convince dd that 6:30 is bedtime.

Contemplating whether my headache is bad enough to need to take a couple of Panadeine and keep away from children, as it suggests on the packet.
