Don't be angry at yourself. You did the right thing you got him back. Trust yourself you're the mummy I bet he was stoked with that ice cream! In fact now I want one

@harvs Mummy's instinct is a wonderful thing. Don't beat yourself up about doubting yourself, we all do that. Meanwhile, I want that icecream and does t he looked pleased with it?!

@harvs I hate it when other people tell me to chill when it comes to my kids. I am pretty chill 99% of the time so if I'm not just ---- off and let me do my thing.

Don't relive the moment. The main thing is nothing happened. My son nearly drowned last summer in front of 6 adults and I was haunted by what might have been for weeks. But he's fine and so was my son. Nothing went bad because you did follow your guts.

Thanks lovelies, you're all so right. And he loved his ice cream (and even shared half a spoonful with me!). @Sonja that is my absolute worst nightmare. I can't even imagine what that was like for you...

@harvs sadly it's the second time it's happened. My daughter had an incident at southbank in Brisbane when she was being "supervised" by someone else.

So yeah I know that feeling. You just have to let it go

Dear mother, yes I am very well aware I have borderline personality disorder. I really don't need you telling me that. Yes you were one of the main contributing factors. Yes I have issues controlling my emotions, particularly in relation to you partly because of that. Yes I have issues with interpersonal skills - again the invalidating environment you have always provided contributed to that.

But don't you dare accuse me of using my illness to manipulate you and my mental health team. Don't you dare tell me that my manipulation backfired with the CAT team & police who did welfare checks etc feeling that they had to make reports to DHS, and with DHS removed DS from my care. My mental health treating team did not decide to make me have ECT because I manipulated them. They are doing it because I am unwell right now, and the illness isn't actually issues with the BPD anyway. You know how I know that - because if it was ECT wouldn't be having any effect, it is only being used to treat the symptoms of the depression & mania. So really just stop with the crap because you don't want to have to parent your child because I'm an adult - it isn't my fault that the court ordered that you had to come stay the day'night of ECT due to logistics & I'm no happier about it than you.

I wish Anthony would just go away. I would really love Andy to replace him. He can pull off cool facial hair.

I told DH this and he declared Anthony will never go away. Which brought me to my point that he cannot hold a note. To demonstrate his terribleness, I got DS to sing. DS is 3 and can hold a tune better than him.
