Annoying SIL wants to catch up today I said ok we have a few jobs today but maybe could meet for lunch. She wants me to drive to her house which is in the middle of b-m f.k nowhere 40 minutes drive. I feel a bit slack but really can't be a$$ed packing 2 kids in the car to drive down there. What's wrong with a half-way cafe/park?!

I have done this. She had a 4 year old. And is on school holidays (she is a teacher). I asked her a week ago if she would like to catch up but I only hear from her late last night. It's not like she is busy, she posts her daily activities on Facebook and it's all arts & crafts with her daughter. She has a lot of time on her hands.

Besides, DS2 will probably scream half the car trip there & back. I have decided I am not going. She can meet me at the park if she wants!

There are some police cars in my normally super quiet street (we are the only perm residents here) - I know 2 police from the station they would be from but don't know whether or not to text them to see why given I also know they aren't working tonight

I hate that I rush my daughter so much I the mornings, I get so grumpy with her when she doesn't understand timing and that when we need to leave RIGHT NOW there is no time to go back inside for her to put lip gloss on!

I do this to my DS1 all the time. I get down right dragon-lady at him (how long does it honestly take to put your shoes on?!), so much so that I think I have given him a complex/anxiety issues over being slow.
