@tegs26 only experience I have with the Minera is a friend who got it and she had an awful time with it. She had bad endo too but for device removed after a year and had keyhole for the endo, then began pregnant naturally within three months! She was 35 tho. Next year she is having a non-radical hysterectomy because the endo is so bad and she doesn't want any more kids.

Off fertility topic but I was misdiagonsed Coeliac for 2 years @midnite01 - I know most if the spots in Melb. There is a good support page on Facebook. As far as 'fast food' Nandos is GF Inc. chips j Ali Baba kebabs do GF, Maccas fries, salsas etc. There is a fully GF cafe in Camberwell called Red Robin. There is a fantastic GF place in Moorabbin called Gluten Free 4 U, they do pies, sausage rolls, bread, donuts, cakes etc. It's pricey but when youll pay it while GF. You can buy a lit of tge stuff frozen so you can keep it at home. Black Ruby bread is good.
Best bread mix - FG Roberts, makes a great white loaf you can add seeds etc to it. Family couldn't tell that bread was GF, they asked what bread I was going to have. Do join the fb page lots of good advice & tips on eating out and where to find things - also good for getting to know what's a no go in the supermarket.

Saw my GP yesterday and got myself sorted regarding new ob gyn - she has registered me with the public hospital so I hope to hear from them soon and hopefully they will take me. I'm feeling very nauseous this morning, 7 weeks today. Tomorrow I'll get another blood test to check my ANA and see if it's budged but I doubt it. The intralipids, fish oil etc are for killer cells not ANA but hey, it's a great excuse to check my hcg at the same time 😄
We are heading off to the shops today and for the first time in my life I'm going to look at baby gear - I have no idea what's even out there. I know it's early and I'm setting myself up for a fall, but I just feel like getting hyped up about this and there's no harm in looking right?. I have a good feeling about a pregnancy for the first time ever. The fact that this morning my 'slight funny tummy' I've had for the last two weeks has turned into 'urgggh don't even bring food near me' makes me feel even more confident 😁

I have been stalking for a little while whilst some decisions are made. I have my lap and hysteroscopy booked in the first week of Nov and the surgeon suggested that I have the Minera inserted for 3 months due to the endo issues I have. I went to see the infamous Wazza and he suggested getting the lap etc first and then decide if we give OEs a go or then go straight to DE.

Due to my age I am not sure if I should go with what the surgeon said. I live in WA so using someone in Perth so it's a bit cheaper than going over to QLD.

So my question is has anyone else been told to try Minera for endo and then give it a few months and then if you are ovulating then IVF OE may be possible. My worry is my age and I thought DE would be the only option anyway and I am not sure I wanna bother with another fe months before I start to make some decisions.

    Hope this makes sense?

    ps sorry if too long
Hi Tegs & welcome to the thread Luv😊

Am sorry to hear about the Endo issue. Can only imagine how painful it is😦 Although I don't have it myself...I have heard of either the Merina implant or Zoladex being used for a few months to settle things down in your oven.

Personally...I think it would be a good idea to do it as my understanding is that endo could cause issues with implantation of an embryo which would apply whether using your OE's or DE's.

Did Wazza think it worthwhile to try the implant??? Fingers crossed/Babydust doing the surgery etc will be the first step in getting your take home baby!!!😊xo

P.S.....Hopefully some of the other Lovelies can help when they next jump on the thread. It's always quieter on the weekend😊

@JulieMalooley Yeah...I wouldn't be surprised if the hospital gets you in sooner rather than later due to the fact you've got twins on board

The Prednisone treats the ANA Luv. I'm sure your levels are just fine Have fun shopping!!! There's soooo much sh!t out there!!! Quite a bit of pointless sh!t too!! Of course there's no harm in looking!! You might as well start making a list and setting a budget IMO as these are your take home bubs Luv no doubt about it!!!

Make sure you know where the dunnies are too hence you need to "Ride the Porcelain Bus" while you're out and about!!! Have a great day!!!
