@sunny79 I'm sorry for the BFN Luv😦 (((hugs))).

The embryo looks pretty good to me. Obviously it's still re-expanding in the photo by the looks of it but all the cells within look good😐

What Day transfer was it again??

sorry to hear today's results Bongley hugs I was hoping for your positive to show up today

congrats infinity888! sounds like you have a lucky egg there. good luck for monday's transfer, so you're doing a day3 transfer?

wow beckymae, that's great news. I hope they all get frozen for you (apart from your transfer egg of course). possible siblings?

corbes, I guess it's weighing up time & cost. not sure why you wouldn't get to choose though. my nurse mentioned something about not being able to do back to back cycles as it affects medicare rebate. so maybe check about this if you should need to do another - hopefully not. (they let me do back to back long down reg but they started 2 months apart - so I hope that's ok with medicare, waiting to find out)

sunny79 sorry to hear about your bfn. it's sad, I hope you'll be ok. it looks like a blast /day5 to me (not an expert though). I can see the cells around the edge and middle cells, I think once they expanded with liquid they'd be more spaced out and easier to see. I haven't seen an unfreezing embryo yet though, hope to in a couple of months. there seems to be lots of cells like a day5 though. what do you think is wrong with it.

Tahli & midnite0, good luck for your scans on monday!

blossom74, ounds like a day out will do you good. have fun

hi to BiB and everyone else

    Default IVF over 40 #19

Thanks @sunny79, if that embie looke fine when you first saw it, don't be worried. When they defrost them they are compacted as all the moisture has been removed. My two on board now both looked like perfect 5 day about to hatch blasts before freezing and when they were transferred one had completely re expanded but the other one was still going. They finish expanding after they are transferred regardless. See this photo, one is definitely better looking, they both looked exactly the same before freeze - but they both stuck - yours just looks like they've only 'just' taken it out of the freezer - and that's ok. Don't worry about how it looks is my advice. That is normal. I'm sorry it didn't stick for you though 😔

It was the cells within and how far they were from the edges, it just seemed so much less defined when it was fresh. I am new to the whole process and I am not coping very well with the process. Husband is very supportive but my anxiety is out of control.

Good luck for transfers @beckymae and @Corbes - exciting times 😁

That makes me feel better Julie. Yours do look more like mine, bubhub is great but so bad at times! Mine looked nothing like anyone's on one of the other threads.
