Good idea juliemalooley. Blossom take them to a shelter and say you found them. They aren't going to be microchipped and registered so won't be able to be traced. Then you can just be as shocked as your neighbour when she tells you they ran away. You can say "unbelievable, they were so loved and well looked after I wonder why they would do that."

If both animals were outside the property then there's nothing to say they didn't wonder off of their own accord. Plead ignorance to your neighbor. I'd go for leisurely Saturday drive to the next major town & say you found them wondering along the highway. Fingers crossed they aren't micro-chipped.

@Blossom74 omfg that is terrible about your neighbour. Unfortunately people like that will keep using your good nature. I understand not wanting to report her yet. I'm sure those animals are in good hands with you and in time if she doesn't step up maybe talk to her about plan b. If her past hx is DV and mental health issues then maybe she is doing her best atm even though its stil negligent. Poor babies.

AFM my drugs have worn off. It was only minor pain during procedure thank god. Im greatfull for my 1 egg although I did want two to put back this time just to try a new approach as all previous transfer have been single ones. But my pred etc will make this one different and get me my bfp.

I have been overwhelmed by the support on here today and i appreciate you all soooooo much. So thank you thank you.

Fx for fertilization tomorrow and a healthy embryo for transfer on Monday. Yippee

@Blossom74 I've just texted a girlfriend who used to run a cattery & work for local council in your neck of the words. Her hubby used to catch the local stray animals too, from dogs to horses to snakes! I'm hoping she'll have some practical advice. I'll get back to you when I hear from her.

Thanks everyone for your support. I was hoping it wasn't just me being hormonal and over-reacting.

Whatever happens I won't be adopting them I'm afraid. As much as I'd love a house full of cats, I already have two and am not allowed a dog at this house - we're renting. I am just going to feed the two of them up and hope for the best.
@Infinity, I have that your little egg is fertilised successfully for you. When will you be called to find out for sure? Hopefully it all goes smoothly, and I'm pleased you're not too uncomfortable.

Re: The double transfers, I actually asked my FS about that and he was dead-set against it for me. I'm not sure why exactly, I do know that he said the success rates don't double with 2 embies vs 1? Not that I ever planned on having twins anyway, ever since I was young I only ever wanted one child. Anyway, with so few eggs I just always went along with transferring one at a time, to give the best possible chance to each emby.

It's a very personal decision I think. And hey, you have one glorious egg now so one it is! I hope this is your take home baby, love.

    Well, you won't believe this.

I went over the road to feed everyone, and the dog is gone! There is also a big, wide, flat dish full of water that has appeared for the kitten!

I filled the kitten's bowl up with food and she ate the lot, so she has a full belly.

I presume the person who was originally going to look after the dog, but backed out, has changed their mind and collected him.

I hope he is happy wherever he is. At least they thought to put water down for the kitten. They can't be all bad.

I'll keep feeding puss, of course
