Default The Walking Dead Season 6

I am kind of getting sick of the formulaic running into bad guys storylines getting captured, escaping etc. I know it's a dark show and its evolved from escaping walkers to fear the living but sometimes I wish they weren't all baddies (like Alexandria was). They are also making really dumb decisions. Like starting a war with negan's group with no idea who/what/how many they were dealing with, being super arrogant and everyone running off willy nilly. Found this season quite stressful!
Yes! Daryl isn't the only one who can use it!! I wish they had blasted through, though it would have only delayed the inevitable showdown.

I agree with the dumb decisions too. I don't get why they would all split up like that. The best fighters out of Alexandria at once isn't a good plan. Neither is focussing on saving Maggie to the detriment of everyone else. But I think that's what happens when you think/act with your heart and not your head.

His taking on Negan I didn't mind so much. They needed food and I'm sure Rick - and his ego! - was thinking "we've beaten everyone else. We took down the governor. How hard could it be" and has now paid for it. Plus, I don't think hilltop knew the numbers. They'd only been to an outpost and didn't know it wasn't the compound.

But I agree it is getting a bit formulaic. And the baddies get badder. But I guess that's also society. I just hope Rick doesn't become the biggest bad of them all. He's getting more hardcore each season.

Going to be interesting. He's down now, but I don't think it will last long.

Also going to be interesting to see if they can contain leaks so we don't find out who was killed before season 7's premiere. I think they start filming in June-July for the October start?? Going to be plenty of people trying to get photos of which cast members are still around.

That whole season was about how Coc ky and strong Rick and his group have gotten. Rick taking on Negan's group like that and not thinking about consequences is showing how big he's gotten inside his head and how good he thinks he is. He's at the point where he thinks no one can take them down. So it was a good lesson for him to come across Negan's group.

I agree.. Glenn needs to die in order for Maggie's role to come to pass in the future if it's going to follow the comics. Abraham did die though before now (The crossbow scene) so it could be him and Glenn has another death later.

It's interesting to look at all the characters and see how they've changed and what they've turned into. IMO Rick isn't much different to what Shane was. It will be interesting to see if Rick ends up a bad guy in the end.

Probably another topic of conversation on another thread but are any of you watching Fear the Walking Dead? I hate it, I find myself unconnected to any of the characters! I also think it's frustrating to watch them figure things out 'again' after watching our other lot on TWD figure things out the first time round. Any way, just thought I'd see if any of you could get into it. Maybe I'm just too wrapped up with TWD.

I watched the first season, and it took me until the final 2 eps to get interested. I've got the first Ep of season 2 to watch tonight. I found it the same as you - hard to connect to the people. Especially Travis. I actually thought he'd be dead before the season ended as he's not go what it takes to survive if you ask me. His wife does, but he's too soft for a zombie apocalypse!

It was the dude that saved the boy that intrigued me. He seemed to know "stuff". Will be interesting to see if they get to the boat and what happens this season. But if it goes back to being a bit slow and boring, I don't think I'll continue to watch.

Yeah I watched last night. Hmmmm, I was yelling at the screen one minute ( especially at the teenage daughter - you'll see why) and then lost interest and I was cleaning up from dinner the next. Zombies in the sea piqued my attention, but yeah, it's gotta get a bit better for me to continue past the next episode.

To me they just created FTWD for more money. It's not very well thought out and it's boring. I also don't care for any of the characters. If any of them died I would be like meh. In fact I'd like some of them to die just so they're not getting screen time anymore as they're that boring... Travis being the most annoying.

I thought it'd go back to where it started and we'd see how the virus actually started (whether it be that it mutated from the flu etc). However it pretty much gave us no more insight then what the walking dead has done through flashbacks etc.

They have done a really bad job on character development. It's a pretty unpopular show at the moment with most people agreeing that it's boring and the characters aren't likeable/relatable enough. I think it'll die off.. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't last past season 2. It's disappointing as they could've done a better job. I just see it as a cash cow. A way to make money the whole year round.

    SPOILERS

As for this passed episode.. people are going on about how stupid Alicia is... but people need to have a reality check.. it's the start of the end of the world for them... Alicia is a teenager... she doesn't realise that people can be worse than zombies. That some people (most people if you go off the Walking dead) are evil. She wouldn't have realised she was giving her location away on the radio and had no reason to ignore the person. She was scared/lonely.

Yep. I agree with that too. Especially those ^^ bits. I was very disappointed it didn't start with what starts this whole thing. It's really just TWD in a different location. And it was pitched as the start of it. It's not the start. Might have been the first zombie, but it wasn't the start.

Wow. I didn't know it was out, so just watched both trailers and the sneak peek. Looks like some of it was past scenes mixed in with new, so a little confusing, but from that, I still think it was Glenn.
