    Meh don't listen to others. With your fertility issues it makes sense not to wait too long. My sister had no eggs left at 35. Under 25 going it alone maybe you're best to wait. After 25 go for it. After 35 you should have started 5 years ago

    Could always do a Cycle or 2 now & freeze the embryo's to transfer later on down the track???😊

    I think this is a great idea. You will never have 25yo eggs again!

    Hi tam27,

    not sure what age you are but I started looking into the process at 43 (just turned 44) and have been told that IVF rather than IUI is my best option.

    I have also used anonymous donor sperm so not sure where you are with that either.

    I've only just started and still working all the intricacies out myself but basically it's lots of blood tests and vaginal ultrasounds (fun, fun, fun) followed by self injecting hormones for egg collection.

    Once the eggs are collected (I haven't go this far myself so just what I've read) they then try to inseminate the egg and then re-inseminate after 5-7 days.


    I didn't think I'd get this emotional early on but I have to say be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions.
