    What's a shipping container pool?

I googled it and saw some images and while it looks like an awesome idea I don't get why it wouldn't need to be fenced?

I dare say it would (here anyway, maybe not in the u.s where I am guessing most of the google images are from). Although in the NT pools dont need to be fenced. Dh's pool had a lid that you locked when it wasnt in use, it just looked like a security screen and wasnt very secure.

I'm wondering why @SpecialPatrolGroup said that shipping container pools don't need to be fenced. I'm wondering if she meant something completely different to what I'm seeing on Google

Oh maybe that's it just a difference in rules between states. I think the QLD pool safety rules are pretty strict

Well I believe it is to do with the height of the side of the pool being high enough that it constitutes a barrier.
Some have a door/gate that enclosed the stairs. I'll find a pic.

My DH has been trying to talk me into a shipping container pool. This company in QLD makes them http://robustpools.com.au
My understanding was they didn't need a fence, maybe because of the height of the sides??
