    Default WTF is this?

    R back.jpg

Yesterday as I was bathing my 8 mth old, I noticed a deep blue vein on her spine.
I rang DH to see if she fell or hurt herself while with him but she didn't, nor with me.
DH said it was nothing to worry about but this morning it's much bigger and has different colours in it.

    I'm worried sick.
Earliest appointment I got was for 11am.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

ETA yesterday it was one very straight blue vein, today it's like a little pool of blue.

It looks like the veins I get on my legs. They hurt if you press them. Gp should be able to help. Even if it's just too reassure you.

    She's OK otherwise.
Today the skin on top feels raised, it definitely wasn't like that yesterday as I was checking for a scratch or anything that might have hurt her.

Not sure what this is but my near 2 year old often has a bruise around that area of her spine. I've mentioned it to gp a few times but they've never been concerned. Hope it's nothing

She needs to have an ultrasound.
Can't get in anywhere today so tomorrow it is.

Luckily I gave her a bath yesterday morning or I wouldn't have seen how big it is today in comparison. I would have thought it was just a bruise and left it at that.

Is it lump like? Does Bub have any strawberry birth marks? My dd was born with 2 strawberrys and as a Bub she had one appear under the skin almost over night.
