They refused to take my order so put all the money in my wallet for a food tab so they can eat in the future. I hope they got food somewhere tonight

Not at all. I would try and find a solution where the kids got fed and the parents got looked into. Hence why I would call the local station - they can crack down or they can hook people up with social services.

    Default Wwyd?

The problem for me if I'm doing a chippie run, it means I'm broke and/or have only a small amount of cash on me. So I'd probably say I'm sorry I don't have any to spare and feel fecking awful about it for the rest of the night.

That's a good idea putting the $$ on a tab,I never would have thought of that. Even if it were a con (which I would think is unlikely - POSSIBLY if they were asking for money I would think so,but if they were asking for food - that is very humbling &somehing you do if youre desperate) - even so,I cant leave aby kids to go hungry. In my church, we have had strangers on the spur of the moment &between us,have managed to provide accommodation, food, & the person is usually on their feet with a job within a couple of weeks. Its amazing how resourceful you can be when it's required.

Do you trust the business? That they wouldn't just pocket the money you put on the tab?

Really? Sometimes you just have to trust and if you get taken for a ride at least your heart is in the right place.,
