Little bit off topic but along the same lines of what would you do. A while ago I was in a car park and as I got out the car it rolled back as I hadn't put hand brake on. After quickly moving car and putting brake on I went to check the car behind and found a massive dent in the bumper and cracked number plate. Felt so awful and didn't know what to do. Decided I had to own up but couldn't find any pen in my car or bag so ended up telling myself "oh well I guess that's that. " went off to my hosp appointment, couldn't stop thinking about it so found a pen and paper, wrote a note to put on said car when returning to car park.
Few hours later I had a phone call to say not to worry, the car had been damaged already but thanks for being honest. Made me realise that you need to always try to do the right thing and often you see the good in others too as that lady had the perfect opportunity to take advantage and claim on my insurance but she was also honest.
