Thanks ladies, I ended up talking to mum about it and I feel so much better now. She made some great points and I feel more at peace with how things are going. At the end of the day we want a family. How that family is formed doesn't matter.

I have everything crossed that our little 'bean' will stick around (so does mum now she is so freaking excited) and then I will stim again for number 2. If it doesn't work out then we will continue with DP's embies knowing we gave it a go and that's more than good enough for me.

If our little bean is not to be then we will keep going with DP's beautiful little embies until we get our bubba and then go on again to stim me for number 2.

We just need to keep our fingers crossed that we can get our hands on more of our donors sperm.
@Boxergirl mum is the only one that knows now and it will stay that way for that exact reason. We don't want the heartache of having to tell everyone.

So after the blow of our last emby not thawing yesterday, we realised that Af is due next week..so we have decided to just go for it and do a new stim cycle now. It'll be tough financially, but February (taking into account clinic closure, Xmas etc) seems so far away for us.

DP is booked in for a 'scratch' on Thursday. Hoping so much for successful embies

    That's so exciting boxer!

I will have to wait til Jan I think for my stim if my emby doesn't stick, as I would be starting stims around Xmas day by my calculations!

Not too far to wait, at all- hopefully you won't even need to though, of course. I have a good feeling!

The lab supposedly closes for 2 weeks mid Jan (wierd) otherwise we would be going around then, too.

I just called the clinic and it's not them that's closed but the private hospital for EPU, and I would of course be due for EPU smack bang in their closed period.

    Typical!

@Boxergirl that is awesome!! I'm so pleased to hear that you will be moving along sooner than you first thought!!!
@rainbow road does that mean you wouldn't start stimming until Jan? I also think you won't need to even worry about it! I wonder what the latest is that they do a FET in December. I thought it was the lab that closed at Christmas not the hospital!

Default Same Sex Parents TTC List #3

Nope the admin lady said "even if you needed a transfer Xmas day we would make it happen".

It's the hospital. And the specialist is away between Xmas and new year but will have someone covering her.

My AF would be due Xmas day and so I would've been on Lucrin for a week and a bit prior to it, and started stimming when AF showed.

Last time I only stimmed for 8 days before triggering, so if it is similar to that I would be due for EPU sometime between NYD and the 8th and they don't reopen til the 11th.

ETA so yes, I would start stimming end of Jan instead.

Actually I stimmed for ten days. If I did the same I could probably JUST squeeze in for an EPU on the 10th but that's assuming my period is on time and not early for the next 2 months AND that I respond to stims the same, and a thousand Irene variables. Probably cutting it fine.

Yeah that sounds a bit stressful and it might be easier to go with the Jan cycle. It's interesting though because I might be able to get another transfer done this year if bean doesn't stick around... I'm not going to think about that yet though because I just want our little bean to work.
