TNTH- Would you consider trying IUI down the track if you didn't end up carrying each other's bio Bub? It sound like there's a good one on board for her so let's hope it sticks around and becomes your BFP.

I'm sorry you all had a rough day. Nothing can prepare you for the rollercoaster of TTC, no matter how long or short your ride is.

Rainbow- I think our clinic does the quick freeze option. I don't know the technical name.

Most clinics do vitrification now... It's definitely a selling point for DPs cycle.

I think we would still go down the IVF path again if we used my eggs. I wouldn't gamble IUI because the cost could stack up and end up being more than IVF. If DP has a sticky bub on board then we may even go for 3 kids down the track but we would prefer 2 really so its all up in the air at the moment. I just hope this little one brings us some good news! It's all going to work out the way it was meant to in the end. Got to take comfort knowing that 😊

Gosh it's a bittersweet thing at the moment. DP and I were both I tears last night because we were so sure we would have Nemo back home with us. Last time we had something to soften the blow of a BFN and that was that Nemo could have his turn. Now we have something to soften the blow again and that is that we will go back to our original plan of me carrying with DP's first (well trying to) and doing another stim in the future for her to use mine. Either way we will be happy so we can't really lose out this cycle either. If this works then obviously that's the best news because we will have a baby on the way and I can always carry using my eggs in future - IF - that's what we decide (that's a big IF) and something I'm putting a lot of thought into at the moment. I think I need to speak to my family to help me clear my head. DP and I haven't spoken to anyone IRL about what we are doing but it might be time to do that.

For what it's worth: I carried ds (my egg) and dp has an amazing connection with him. Now dp is carrying baby#2 (her egg, same donor) and I feel connected now and I'm sure once he or she is born I will love them like 'my own blood'. family comes to us in many ways, sometimes not how we 1st imagined it but which ever way, they are ours and we love them all the same.

I think speaking to someone close to you both is a good idea. Sometimes it just helps getting it off your chest and it feels a little clearer.

We thought about using our clinic counsellor throughout the cycle as we didn't think anyone around us really understood our journey... Although we didn't struggle to conceive, the whole process is stressful as everything is pretty much beyond your control and you really don't know what you're signing up for until you're in the midst of it.

Do what you feel you need to TNTH, it's such a challenging road!

We will be not telling people this next time around, though. It's so hard having to tell everybody things didn't work each time and some people seem to think IVF is/should be a piece of cake to conceive..yeah, noooo 🙄
