Yep great question, the clinic is happy for us to donate the embryos back and forth between each other so I will donate some back to her for now so she still holds a spot and then she can always donate them back to me if I stim again. That way we definitely both hold a spot as we both would like to carry. She will def try to carry again but I'm not sure if it will be using her embryos or mine. We haven't decided if I will stim again because we just don't know if it will be too much of a hit financially if we end up with just the one embryo again. I'm so worried for Nemo. It's going to be a hard 2ww if and when we get there.

    That's great news at least.

If you have a read of my TTC diary you can see what the doc said to us about next stim for DP- she and you had very similar issues I think in terms of egg/embryo quality so it might apply to you too.

Yeah I had a read of that and I also hope that it was because I was on the damn shakes and only stopped them a month before. Perhaps being on such low calories damaged my eggs 😞 but maybe if I stim again I will get a better response because I will have been feeding them lots of fresh, healthy and yummy food. We will be talking to the FS about being absolutely sure that DP's body is good for the transfer this month and if it's not looking the best we will wait until it is. We want to give this everything we've got and if that means waiting of trying something different to make the perfect home then we will. I just hope the little one is a strong fighter!

Default Same Sex Parents TTC List #3

I thought I would upload a picture of the tests we did as a record and a keepsake lol. The top was done Sunday morning when the pregnyl was fading away then Sunday night I had the darker test. I then had darker ones on the dippy sticks morning and night yesterday and then the bottom was this mornings test before bloods. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1446536817.115079.jpg

ETA - the lines are a lot more faint since uploading which is annoying!! They are darker irl

Sorry to hear it didn't work this round TNTH. It's great that you had everything working on your end to create the perfect home.

It's ok to grieve that it didn't work... Even though you went in with a very realistic mind set.

It sounds like you've got a good plan moving forward. Wishing little Nemo all the fight he needs.

We're a little sad that poppy wasn't the one but we also think that it was for a reason so we are okay about it. We have both taken it well and DP is pretty excited to have a shot at carrying Nemo. It's quite cute 😊 Looking forward to our appointment tomorrow and DP has been sipping away on fertility teas to help her lining and pomegranate juice. We were also considering pineapple core. We are pulling out all the stops for this cycle hoping it might help.

Any suggestions? Did anyone do anything special for their cycle?

ETA - I did say to DP "sorry that Poppy didn't stick around" and her reply was "that's okay babe he had better things to do" with the sweetest smile. ❤️ her!

Oh sorry chick, I didn't realise you had already received a definite answer... I don't know how I missed that. I'm really sorry this round didn't work x

For my cycle with DS I did acupuncture before and after transfer. Maybe not the best idea for DP if she hates needles.

I didn't do pineapple core because I was taking aspirin and you can't do them both together. I don't really think I did anything special really!

That's okay, thank you though. I'm surprised about how okay we both are but we are prepared for the potentially long road ahead and maybe we have got less pressure on because we didn't plan to start trying until next year so we feel like we are still ahead of our timeline if that makes sense? That's also why I would wait and stim again if needed but we just can't afford to keep doing rounds and rounds of EPU's. I don't know how some people do because we both earn decent money. Maybe we might need to start re-evaluating our lifestyle and cutting costs.
