@winsor I can't wait to read on the weekend (or early next week) that your second line gets darker and darker, yay!!
the first PM might have gone to his 'other' messages folder (which most people don't check, or even know about). so now you can msg him and say hi. good luck!
I don't want to come across as tragically desperate! Should I leave it til the weekend?! What's FB etiquette...is it like the 'olden' days when you waited 3 days for a boy to call back...and used the word 'etiquette'?
Oh and when you've got your FB page open on the right hand side there's a list of your friends and next to their pic it says, for eg 18 mins, does that mean they were on FB 18 mins ago? Sorry for the simple q's!!
I'd send one soonish after the friend request acceptance eg within a day or so. just to say hi, nice to meet you on the flight.
not sure about the list - I don't enable chat so can't remember what that shows sorry
@Tahli, yes 18 would mean they were online 18 minutes ago. I think etiquette has gone out the window with regards to Facebook. I think you can send a message pretty much straight after friend acceptance. What a great distraction from the two week wait x
@Tahli, I think when you can see your friend's name, and then it says (say) 18 minutes next to it, it means they were last online 18 minutes ago.
If there is a green dot next to their name, it means they are online at that particular moment. Or, if they're like me, they were online and then walked away from their computer without logging off!
Sadly, I don't think there is any etiquette surrounding dating anymore, be that on FB or otherwise. Back in the good old days (hang on, let me get out my walking stick...) you met someone, gave them your number, days later you would get a call asking you out for coffee or dinner, you had several dates thereafter (or not, depending on how the first one worked out) and it was not acceptable to even kiss until the third date.
Unless you were a tramp like me
Nowadays, it's survival of the fittest. If you want a man you basically have to go out with a bat and whack him over the head to get his attention, and not only that you have to do it before all the other girls get to him first.
So my dear, I would say "It's time to boat that bass." Knock him over the head love! Send him a message and see how you get on. After all, what have you got to lose? I have always dated like a man - gone after what I wanted. Occasionally (rarely) you get a rejection and 'meh - move on. Most of the time though, blokes are stoked you even noticed they're alive
Yep scan on Monday
I hear you about the 'I have no freaking time to do anything.' I work from home and barely manage to get that done, along with the housework and helping DH with whatever disaster he creates for the day!
I normally go to bed quite early though - a product of our dairy days. We are often in bed by 8.30 - 8.45. Sounds lazy but then I get up at 6.15 every morning so I'm not asleep ALL day, lol.
