Ok I've decided. I will do them about every 13 days (just the way the calendar works the easiest) so 3 more would get me to 11 weeks. Would I need another after that?

@leyshoja I suppose you could speak to your doctor about any side effects of doing it, and think about that. or try research some medical studies to see what they've found?
sorry, probably not much help to you on this. good luck though

There are no side effects and there is no actual proof that it works. I'm going to do it anyway as its yet another thing that 'can't hurt' and besides it gives me a little time to feel special - and pregnant lol
Besides I'd hate to have regrets.

I don't thinks so Luv. From what I've read it's 2 infusions before transfer (if possible) and 3-4 after done after BFP every 2 weeks. I think if you had a range of immune issues you may need them for longer possibly but from my understanding, the above protocol is the normal standard.

    See what @Chiefsgirl reckons

Sorry ladies have been super busy at work! Darn work getting in the way of bubhub!
@leyshoja - Julie, intralipids is a mixture of egg white proteins and soy, so unless you're allergic to those two main ingredients there aren't any side affects, except for the fact it's about a squillion calories, especially if you get the full 500mls!

Dr m says to do one 7-10 days before transfer. One after bfp, then every 3-4 weeks till about 12 weeks. I had one last weekend at 12.5 weeks and I'm having some blood tests done next week to see if I need to do anymore. That bt will also tell him if I can start weaning my steroids.

Oh and another note on intralipids, it is given to cancer patients and people with eating disorders when they are malnourished, I think the fact it also dampens nk cells has been a recent discovery - and a cheaper alternative to ivig which is a plasma by-product and much more expensive.

There has been studies done on intralipids in Europe where it has been used with great success for many years, Aus is just coming to the party now.

@Chiefsgirl only every 3-4 weeks? I thought standard was every 10 days?
And what is your blood test looking for?

Today I've morphed into the b~tch from hell. I'm either going to kill some-one or consume Melbourne's entire supply of chocolate...or both!!
As for ManCub...I sent him a FB PM then the next morning I sent him a FB friends request. He accepted my friends request within 15 mins but no reply to the PM. I'm wondering if he got the PM as I wasn't his 'friend' when it was sent? I'm so not down with FB!!
