Default What did you get your bub for their first birthday?

    Hello all

My DS will be turning ONE soon - I can't believe it.

Just wondering what others got their babies - or is it toddlers? - for their first birthday?

We are in the fortunate position that DS has most of the things he needs, and I don't want to just get him 'stuff for the sake of stuff' if you know what I mean. Would be open to some sort of meaningful keepsake present thing - but I can't think of what!

    Ideas welcome!

Maybe a photo book of his first year of life? He obviously won't really enjoy it now but when he's older it would be lovely.

DS's birthday fell on Easter so we got him a nice stuffed rabbit that I intend on keeping over the years and a convertible trike.

We got my son a trike but as a keepsake I also got a beautiful silver knife to cut his first cake with and will use it to cut his cake every year and maybe one day when he gets married he can use it to cut his wedding cake. It also has room on the handle to have it engraved.

    I honestly can't remember lol.

The only thing I remember is my SIL spent more money on dd's present than we did!

Just a couple of little things, her party cost around $200 so I kind of figured that was her present!
