    Im doing ok today.

We decided i will see a psychologist at this stage & give that a red hot go. If that doesn't help ill see a psychiatrist & ask for medication

That's fantastic! I hope you feel better to have a plan, and it sounds like DH is backing you which is so important at this stage.
Good on you seeking help 😊

Good to hear. You may be able to get the psychologist to give a recommendation to your GP for meds while helping with any therapy.
It will not hurt to ask or discuss it. Good luck

Is it possible your gp is unsure of a diagnosis for you I.e not convinced its purely anxiety etc so might be wanting a report back from a specialist to see what they think before she prescribes anything? Otherwise try another dr clinic to go to. When I suddenly got bag anxiety/ocd my dr prescribed zoloft 1st visit as I was a mess and she new what my personality was usually like and knew it wasnt right for me.

Try asking work if you can get off half an hr early to see the specialist before you pick up ds from day care. You dont need to say what the appt is for etc.
Even if you go to one or two sessions the psychologist may be able to write your dr a recommendation for medication as well.

You probably need to do both. I see it like taking pain killers for a broken arm. Yes they will help the pain but when you stop taking them the cause is still there as you also need to get the arm set in plaster and fixed for the pain to die down long term.

Anti ds will help with the anxiety yes. But the cbt will held you to cut off the thought patterns before it gets severe and will help it lessen long term.

Psychs will differ in their approach some will do cbt. Mine focussed on accpeting the anxiety and trying not to fight it etc. And this worked so well for me
