Woohoo wonderful news for you and DS.
Well done mumma
Congratulations. I'll bring the bubbles.
Hope you're all ok with crashing in the back yard...
There's room enough in the back yard for a few hundred of those tents .
Your DS is going to love running around like a madman out there.
So the building inspector rang. Said it's an absolutely gift, basically perfect, and he can't believe I got it for that price. And told me to look after it :-p What is he, my mother?
Ice check for the big items that cost a bomb- white ants, structural issues, asbestos (only an issue if its damaged or you want to move it/renos).
Check that the doors and windows all open and close, otherwise you may be looking at restumping needed (do the floors slope down or are uneven).
Water damage on ceilings, lifting or cracked tiles in the kitchen and bathroom.
Evidence of new paint work or patching on the walls, especially on walls adjacent to taps or sinks in another room (if that makes sense).
Anything that looks like flood or storm damage.
Does it look like someone has looked after it? Or does it look like an unloved rental?
Oh, and depending on where you live (hello, Sydney)- cockroaches in plague proportions?
