Got a bit of a shock today. Received an email from the donor agency informing me my donor will be travelling to Cape Town from another city and we have to pay an extra R15 000 ($1500) travelling and accommodation costs. Totally unexpected as she was in Cape Town when we used her previously. Have replied and asked for a cost breakdown and what city. Surely they're not booking her into the Hilton!

She wasn't listed on their website so not sure. The clinic told me she was still available. I just assumed her profile hadn't changed.

That's a bit rough, they should have let you know this when you initially asked if she was available.

Hi everyone, need some unbiased opinions please.

We have finally picked our donor who has donated before. I have just heard from CFC with the details of it. Only 4 eggs retrieved, 1 x 3 day embryo transferred which has resulted in ongoing pregnancy, no embryos to freeze.

Although this has been a good result for this receipient I'm not sure if we should continue with her due to the low number of eggs she produced. Her AMH was 2.73ng/ml in June which they say falls into the normal range. I'm not familiar with this testing so cannot really know if this is a good, bad or so so result.

Does anyone have an opinion ?

Outoftime what was her amh level like? Would you consider getting this tested?

Sorry I said that wrong. Her AMH was 2.73 not her BMI. It was tested in June.

Good luck @Jennski and everyone else in CT ! @Outoftime - I think from memory my donor's AMH was around 10 and at the time I was horrified because that's what mine is - but its a different scale over there and 10 was great. Personally, with only 4 eggs and 1 embie I would be passing on her. Sorry, that's probably not what you want to hear, but its a lot of money if you don't get a bub out of it... Good luck with your decision
