@Tahli could you cope in the event of twins? If the answer is yes then I reckon it's worth the gamble but it also depends on your work situation.
Hi, with regard to transferring one or two embryos. The first time I definately wanted to transfer two to give me the best possible chance of success, same for the second but must admit was worried how I would cope if I got pregnant and had twins with a toddler. I know we would have coped somehow as it was a possibility. My hcg each time was sky high and both times Cyndi said oh it's twins so you can't always go on high hcg indicating multiples. Thank you for the good wishes.
Thanks to the ladies who shared their good news stories, it looks like im about to hit another wave of pregnancy announcements. Had 3 today, and im a bit jealous about it as they were 'whoopsie' pregnancies and one by a lady who is so very unhealthy. I need to stop being so jealous but its just not fair anyways i will suck it up and put my energy into dreaming about my future pregnancy its nearly friday girls woo hoo!
@Tahli I went to a naturopath at the practice where my fertility specialist is and she has only prescribed the q10, folate, omega oils ( I take a vegetarian one) and prenatal vitamin. She also said magnesium powder from when I arrive in cape town until 3 days after transfer and also drink beetroot juice daily from arrival until transfer..
Tahli, in contrast, I was told not to worry about CoQ10 but definitely to take fish Oil and Vit E for DE cycles.
So i AM entering another preganacy announcement season! True to the universes word. Everyone around me is falling pregnant again, its all i see on social media, at work and with all my close girlfriends. I sound like such a *****. Even i think i am over reacting when instead of being happy for my friends, i burst into tears. Im so upset right now, im just sitting on my bed crying. I will blame hormones for a part of it. Maybe i can start charging people because as soon as someone tells me they are trying for a baby or they are having a bit of difficulty falling pregnant they seem to fall pregnant soon after we 'share stories'. Does anyone else have that gift?! Maybe we can cash in and make back some of the millions we have spent being pregnancy whisperes or something?! Haha! Xx please let us be next girls!!!! Amiright?!
I'm new to the site and have a couple of queries surrounding overseas ED.
A little bit about me 29yrs with low AMH < 3, high FSH 16. We have only been trying to conceive for 9months but due to DH's age (45) I got some tests run out of precaution...ironically I'm the one with the issues!! Anyway we are due to start my first IVF cycle next week but my RE has advised me that with such results my prospects are low sad times.
I am not sure I can handle the emotional toll that years of IVF would have on us, so have decided to investigate ED options in South Africa too. Am I jumping the gun here?
I have been following the thread with great interest but would love some advice from those experiencing the process already.
Any recommendations for clinics would be much appreciated too.
Best of luck to all of you xx
