Hi Julie Malooley, was your first test from FMU as well? I have found with me that often SMU or afternoon tests get a darker line than FMU. So, if your first test wasn't FMU and your second test was, then that could make a difference. Although FMU is supposed to be best, that's not always the case for everyone as I have had tests come back noticeably darker on SMU. Also, are you using FRER or another type of test?

I will say that I have had my fertility nurses tell me not to take notice of HPT darkness as there are so many factors that can influence it, but as a fellow POAS addict, I understand how you would be feeling right now.

Default Egg Donation in South Africa #11

My morning test yesterday was nice and dark and last night was lighter, but after an hour or so you couldn't spot the difference. This mornings was darker but only just. My very first test with the squinter at 10dpo was actually an afternoon test which is why I was so gobsmacked that it showed up !
This mornings test is at the bottom..

juliemalooley I think it's ok....I have been told there are so many variables with the wee that you can see different things all the time. Esp. if you have been drinking liquids just before you poas it will be more dilute and therefore hcg not showing up so much!! The FMU looks dark to me! I see the two lines and I think that's a great sign in these early days
Having only ever seen one line on my poas I would be over the moon right now. When is your bt??

Those test lines look fine to me.. I didn't think they recommended doing the tests with anything but FMU

Hi ladies, sorry I have been a bit quiet lately but I have been reading along. Congrats to the mums who have recently given birth and those who got their BFPs.

Was just sitting on the sidelines and waiting for our scan at 7+2 due to DH's work schedule so nothing to report.

Had a minor scare on Thurs night with a bleed but it stopped and seems to have resolved without harm for the moment.

Scan on Fri showed 2 heartbeats and bubs measuring pretty close at 7+1 and 6+6 so add me to the twin club! I think @wazbub called it with 'sunny bubs'! Next scan in two weeks.

    Sunny
