    It works for me. If I feel like super crappie I make the extra effort to dress nicely or go to the gym. I also make more of an effort with cooking dinner.

    It usually cheers me up.

    I love fake it til you make it! It gives me confidence to do new things, get out of my comfort zone, and know that if I "fail" I'll just keep on at it. Yeah, it's new to me but I'm really embracing it and enjoying it.

    I guess it depends how you define faking it. If it's trying to put a positive attitude to a difficult situation as others seem to be referring then yes it can help. If you mean pretending to be ok and getting on with life hoping it gets better, nope ime that doesn't work. For me anyway, or that does is create resentment, anger and denial. I believe problems don't magically go away bc you choose to pretend they aren't there. They go away bc you do something about them.

    I think that sometimes faking it just takes everything until there is nothing left - not always but sometimes. I think it helps to face what is going on in your life. If it means a week in pjs crying and screaming just to get it out - then I think sometimes that works better.
