Wow, good luck this week @Chiefsgirl, what a big one for you!
Can I ask you a question about your frozen embies? You have 18, is that right? How did you choose to break them up into frozen straws...as in how many embryos per straw? My clinic told me today that I need to decide how many to freeze in each straw for future use. This had never even occurred to me.
If this fresh cycle is unsuccessful then I'll fly back soon for a FET. If I freeze some single embryo straws, they take an hour to thaw, so if that embryo is no good they just keep thawing them out I guess until they get a good one. I find out tomorrow how much the straws cost to freeze.
good luck with your doctor's appt and scan Chiefsgirl. try get some rest - sounds like everything's on track for you
I haven't posted in ages, but I'm a lurker here. We have a little girl who is now 7 months old through DE in SA.
I'm just putting a note here as we are cleaning out our house due to moving and we've found a nearly full jar of Menevit. It expires in 11/16. So, I just wondered if anyone would want it? If you do, then please PM me. We are in an inner suburb of Melbourne. I'd prefer not to post as it's hard to get to a PO at the moment.
Good luck and Baby dust to you all. This thread was a godsend when we were TTC.
Good morning BIB. I got a good night's sleep which is probably exactly what I needed.
@Tahli I'm sorry I can't help with straw numbers, they never mentioned it to me at all. We had 11 frozen on day 5 and a further 7 frozen on day 6 so I just assumed they froze them in those batch numbers. But I was never asked how I would like them frozen.
I have to admit I was so relaxed about the whole cycle compared to my oe ones that I didn't ask many questions at all! I didn't even know till after transfer that they used an embryoscope and we gave video of our embies that were transferred!
Pregnant for the first-time?
Not sure where to start? We can help!
