    Default IVF over 40 #17

So much happening!! @leyshoja safe trip home lovely, hope those embies are snuggling in for the long haul ❤️

@Tahli OMG!! Those egg numbers! That's super, bummer your email didn't come through, but hope there was a massive party in that dish & you had a great fert rate xx

@winsor good luck for EPU tomorrow, I'm on a very early shift so won't get back here until late afternoon. Hope it all goes smoothly & you get a nice little haul.

Hi @Natter02 , welcome to the forum. You'll find plenty of support & great advice from these lovely ladies 😊

Hope everyone else had a lovely weekend 😊😊

Hi, sorry y'all I've had a busy few days and missed much on this thread!!!
@leyshoja So sorry to hear about your niece, that's absolutely awful! It seems like DV is only now just finally making the headlines. It's ridiculous it's taken this long. I've read so many stories on bub hub, its just the tip of the iceberg I reckon.

However:- good luck this week! Get that BFP for all us over 40 ladies, I want to see daily photos of the sticks in 4 different lights, FMU and SMU and 5 different brands. (no pressure )
@BlondeinBrisvegas @infinity888 @Tahli so sorry to hear about your experiences too, I think all these stories need to be heard. I had a relationship that wasn't nearly as bad but was definitely wrong, detrimental to my self esteem and went on for far too long. I always promised myself after that one that I would never let anyone treat me like that ever again. Sometimes you don't recognise you've been in it until you come out of it.
@Tahli come on fert rates! the suspense is killing me! So interesting that leyshoja has a pic of your donor! You'll be doing a day 5 transfer for sure. I wouldn't put back more than 1 either. If it was my OE though that would be a different matter. The thought of twins terrifies me and I had an easy(ish) baby. Not all boys are hard work though just most haha
@winsor best of luck tomorrow! let us know how you do
@Natter02 welcome! I hope your straggler made it through? I have only ever had 1 blast make it to transfer. It's pretty common unfortunately.

    to everyone that I missed

AFM CD1 today so 3 weeks until transfer. I'll be talking to my doc tomorrow about the last cycle.

I've arrived in Cape Town safe and sound but still with no fertilisation figures. I'll have to wait until Monday morning now when I go onto the clinic to collect my Gestone. By then if any have fertilised they'll be day 3 embies. I'm petrified that SD1 won't have naturally fertilised those gorgeous eggs and I will have wasted them. Only time will tell. Another 22 hrs to go!

Hope you won't be too jetlagged and can get some decent rest/sleep in the meantime

@Charlie74 its a difficult road to navigate this 1 vs 2 thing so thankyou for your extra info. Afm OE with no bfp from 5 cycles 4 were single 5dt fresh transfers and 1st was fet 5 day blasts x2 and still nothing so im taking my chances with x 2 3dt. Fx i get one at least one to stick. If i had pgd testing i think i would be more hesitant on transfering 2 at a time. Its tough.

@Bongley thanx for your words this thread is amazing. Support and advice right when you need it. I'm so happy to hear you're away from your old situation and you're so right some dont realise it till they are out.

@Tahli there has to be a record breaking fertilised rate coming from CT tomorrow i recon. Fx you will be swept off your feet by sd1

@leyshoja glad to hear your niece is ok. Are you home baking yet?
