Scones with cheese, jam and cream, that's a new one. Just heard my niece who is with a loser has been beaten by him, two broken eye sockets and jaw, broken fingers, they are worried about losing one eye jaysus. He did this to her a while ago and she left but then went back. I can't understand her. He will probably go to jail this time thank fruck. She's almost as bad as him in the relationship, I know she throws a punch, but what a train wreck of a relationship it's been. Thank god she may finally come home with him gone. My sister must be beside herself. She didn't tell me, my other blabber mouth sister did, yeah thanks for that sis !

@leyshoja Yep...agree with Chiefs that having a drink in moderation in the 2WTorture is fine Luv if you want to😊

True blood supply isn't reached until much later on. For the first 6 wks the yolk sack provides all the nutrients/oxygen etc.

Ok girls I know how many have been collected. The embryologist is just 'cleaning' them at the moment to see how many are mature. I need to call back in half an hour to find out the magic number. And breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out....
@leyshoja enjoy the scones and wine love. I'm a jittery mess so I can only imagine how you feel. Big hugs!!
My ED is just out of surgery now so there's definitely scope to cross paths!

@leyshoja Jesus Christ!!! I hope your niece is going to be ok Luv??? DV is really hard to understand. It's complex. What I can tell you from my own experience in my early to mid 20's with my own A/hole is that to be in a relationship like that you have to be dysfunctional yourself psychologically and emotionally. Thankfully I was never injured to that extent but I do have a very faint and very fine scar on my lip where his fist split it one night. It's not obviously noticeable but it's a reminder of where I've been and will never go again.

Where the dysfunction stems from is an individual thing. Mine was a lack of self esteem and self worth that I'd developed from being mentally, emotionally, psychologically and occasionally physically abused by my stepmother. So basically, I picked another dysfunctional human being to recreate my sh!t with even though I didn't consciously know it at the time.

It's not unusual for a person to leave the relationship and go back several times before finally leaving for good. I did it myself a few times before getting out for the last and final time. When you live that way for a long period of time you tend to minimise to yourself (and everyone else) just how bad it really is. Your self esteem is so non existent that you start believing the BS they tell you about being no good and worthless etc.

When you do get out, the real world is so foreign to you that you have no idea how to function in it and you need intensive therapy with a counsellor/psychologist that specialises in DV straight away or else you'll be at risk of going back again within a short space of time. Plus you usually have the A/hole pretty much stalking you with ph calls/txts etc begging you to come back and all remorseful etc. You really want to believe them too because you do get the occasional glimpses of them behaving like a decent human being on the odd occasion. It's all a farce of course. It's just emotional manipulation. You also have no idea what a healthy relationship looks like and should be like.

Anyhoo...you go back and the vicious cycle starts all over again. I'm not sure what issues your niece has, but she obviously has them. The fact she lashes out in violence herself is not good either. They're taking their dysfunctional sh!t out on each other day in day out. Add drugs, alcohol or both to make it even more volatile. It's a toxic relationship of the worst kind. That in no way excuses what he's done to her. There's no justification for violence ever.

I hope he does go to jail because fruck knows he deserves it. I also hope your niece gets the help she needs while he's locked up as it's going to be the only way she's going to be able to leave by the sounds of it which is how it is for some people. She needs to understand her issues first and foremost to understand how she ended up in this mess. Once she does and deals with it, she'll hopefully have the confidence to get out and stay out for good and never, ever choose someone like that again.

Please tell me their are no children in this nightmare???
