Girls, I'm just back from my lining scan which was 7.2mm with over a week until transfer. Apparently my Hamburger looks beautiful. Buuut I have an 18mm follicle. Am I mean to have that? @BlondeinBrisvegas help!!

@Tahli That sounds like your lead follicle which I'm pretty sure is normal to have in the lead up to transfer

In saying that, I've never done a DE Cycle, so one of the other Lovelies who have will set the record straight I'm sure

P.S...Great news about your Hamburger Luv!!!!

have a good trip @leyshoja. looking forward to your good news on arrival home (or updates whilst you're away)

good luck testing tomorrow Bongley. yes, sounds like it's still too early yet

Thali, I'm not sure either but interested to know. as in what happens to your follicle egg if another egg is transferred. does it just get absorbed post ovulation, since it's unfertilised? (not sure)

Thanks @BlondeinBrisvegas. You're a star. The lady that did the scan wasn't sure if it was meant to be there & suggested contacting the clinic to see if I needed follow-up bloods. I had to email the results to the clinic anyway so will wait to hear from them tonight. She also mentioned it may be a cyst but said she'd expect it to be 30mm to classify it as a cyst.
Hopefully my lining will get up to the desired 8-10mm in a weeks time. It would have been nice to be 8mm now. I wonder if the clinic will suggest upping the Progy.
@Bongley @emski72 , ED girls...do you know if I'm meant to have a lead follicle?

@winsor That's what the lovely lady that did the scan suggested...that it may just get absorbed. But she wasn't even sure it should be there in the 1st place! Should I even be ovulating? I'm so missing the basics here!!

@Tahli my follicles were recruits at day 10 but the sonographer said that one follicle would become dominant

@Tahli In a natural Cycle, the lead follicle would be the one that bursts releasing the egg (any other follicles present would be reabsorbed) when ovulation occurs. That would then signal a hormonal change whereby your oven starts getting conditions ready to accept an embryo for implantation.

Ovulation won't occur in your case, but say, in the case of a natural FET, a Trigger injection would be given so it could happen and the body start to become ready as outlined above.

That's my understanding anyway. Your lining is still going to grow between now and transfer. I believe you'll get to 8mm's for sure by then if not a bit more
