Ooooooh good luck @emski72 sounds like some good signs to me !! @Tahli, I can't even imagine how scary it would be doing all this on your own ! I wish I could give you a big hug then a slap on the back of congratulations for having such courage! Good on you girl !

I want to pick the brains of anyone who thinks they have an understanding of 'killer cells'. I'm going to ask this question of dr W this week because I'm still umming about whether to spend the money on intralipids back in Aus.

First pregnancy - slow heartbeat at 6 weeks, still slow at 8 but had improved and fetus was only a couple of days behind in size, died before 9 weeks. Had trisomy21 though which could have been the cause of death.
Second pregnancy - slow heartbeat at 6 weeks, still slow at 8 weeks and absolutely NO growth, not even 1mm. Went off drugs to force a miscarriage. No chromosome tests were possible

So... My question is, do killer cells allow a Fetus to implant but then attack and kill it slowly OR would they stop implantation altogether? To me, these miscarriages dont sound like the sort of thing I expect of killer cells.. But those two perfect hatching blasts in CT 8 weeks ago should have implanted. They are the ones that really get me wondering what went wrong.

But I think some of it can be related to blood flow or antibodies attacking the placenta.. I could be wrong on that but I know that allo-immune relates to wot ur describing luv
Googling it right now !! Never heard that term..

    Default IVF over 40 #17

Wow, that's interesting. Alloimmune issues allow an embryo to limp along until all of its reserves are depleted from the fight and it dies. Sounds like me EXCEPT it happens because the Fetus has too many similar genetic markers to the mother so the body thinks it's the mothers cells which are slightly 'off' so they get attacked. So you'd think with an embie from two people other than me he genes would be vastly different and this shouldn't happen.

And auto immune issues kill it immediately? so that's not me either?

@leyshoja You'd think that but the NK Cells in your uterus will either stop it implanting or kill the embryo(s)...that's my understanding anyway Luv😊
