I was within perfect timing to start one this month but turns out I already have a 10mm follicle and FS thought it might hog all the FSH. And really we need a perfect start. I couldn't agree more. Also my ovaries only had about 9 antral follicles on each- so apparently not 'polycystic looking'. I still find it hard to believe, but anywhoo, maybe the ovarian lasering has done some major good!

Thanks to that one lonesome 10mm follicle I have scored myself another scan next week if I am ovulating on my own. If not it's back on the pill and then start from there.

Plan is standard IVF and back to Gonal F but a lower dose (higher than last cycle with puregon though), starting orgalutran earlier on day 2 I think so theres not that much LH getting to those precious eggs early on, then adding LH on day 6 I think it was. Also using saizen and an ovidrel (250mcg) trigger (that's if my oestrogen isn't skyrocketing)

What sort of trigger shots (and doses if you remember) have you guys used for your successful cycles? Just trying to compare my info on the net that actually recommends a higher dose (it's for meiosis to occur properly and it makes complete sense that I really should have a higher dose as I had quite a few embryos with multiple nucleii (so more chromosomes than normal). On the other hand I can't use a higher dose thanks to my PCO and risk of OHSS. And since I have had it before they are being very careful.
This time I had trigger of pregnyl 10,000us. We also used growth hormone this cycle and think it might have made all the difference to our embryo quality. Fingers crossed the lasering and saizen will have made all the difference for your upcoming cycle!

@greenlady, good luck for this cycle!
@Heyside, glad things can move forward for you now although I'm sure it is not without painful emotions.

    Hi everyone
I'm on the northside and going thru QFG. Started ivf in September after trying unsuccessfully for a while. Both cycles were duds. Looking to start a new cycle next month when I change specialists. Just wanted to say hi! It sometimes feels so lonely and this isn't something I want to talk about openly with people in my life as none of them have struggled. Anyway, just thought I'd say hello 😊

@Heyside - just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and I'm glad hopefully the worst of it is over, onwards and upwards from here and they do say you are quite fertile straight after a MC so here's hoping. What an epic saga it has been for you, you've done so well.
@MrsChino - your scan day tomorrow!!!! Bring on the adrenaline.
@Keiko2012 - I have a very good feeling about this cycle! GH, double trigger and a touch of LH was my best cycle ever so you have picked a good one!!
@Tinachris - welcome!! You will be cycle buddies with @Keiko2012 ! Go you good things!

Had day 10 scan today and have 22 follies - 12 on one side, 10 on other, all pretty consistent size, couple at 16 mm with two days of stimms left. FS was happy, so trigger planned for Wed night with EPU Fri morning.

So overall, third cycle of a similar cycle for me, lots of follies, which my FS is always surprised at given my age, but just need one of them to have a good egg in it.

Hi ladies! Gosh, so much to catch up on.

@greenlady Sounds like you’re coming along great guns! Good luck for EPU on Friday – fingers crossed the lucky egg is in there waiting for you.

@Heyside I really hope this is it for you. As sad as it must be, I’m sure there’s a lot of relief in there for you too. What a marathon you’ve been on. Any idea when you’ll get your pathology results?

@Keiko2012 Sounds like things are lining up really well for your February cycle! 9 antral follies is perfect. Fingers crossed your surgery has done your ovaries a world of good. In answer to your question on triggers, I did a double ovidrel trigger this time, mainly to try and maximize the number of mature eggs, since I’d had quite a few immature ones before. I don’t know if it did anything - I also did a double trigger for our July cycle which obviously didn’t work, so who knows? Could be worth a shot, providing OHSS risk isn't too high?

@Bluemeeple Congratulations on your scan, that’s great news! So when does that make you due?

Hi and welcome @Tinachris. All the best for your next cycle. I hope the new specialist has some good tricks up his/her sleeve for you

How are you going @BecT? Feeing okay?

Afm I’ve just been lying low the past couple of weeks. I’ve been pretty sick, so just trying to find ways to cope with that (not that I am remotely complaining). I went along for my scan this morning, and lo and behold there were two sacs in there. Holy craaaaaaap! One bub was measuring 6w6d and the other was measuring 6w4d (I am 7w0d today), so one is a little on the small side, but both heart rates were fine at 129 and 133. The dr said there’s about an 11% chance one wont make it to the next scan, but as things stand today everything looks good in there. Far out, I think I am in shock. DH is over the moon, but I just keep thinking of all the things that can go wrong and dreading the 'next bad thing' (thanks IVF). Argh. Anyway, just gotta take it day by day I suppose. And I am very grateful to have gotten this far at least!

OMG OMG OMG @MrsChino!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!! I am so so so so soooooo sooooo happy for you and your hubby! That is fantastic news! I can't believe there are 2 in there (and I would've loved Dr K's response- ha ha especially since he's so against transferring 2 in the first place). Sounds like both are doing great and and 11% chance isn't too high. I have everything crossed for your next scan. When do you go back? Sorry to hear you've been feeling pretty sick, I guess with 2 on board it would make everything a little harder. Have you found any strategies that work?
@Green lady wow 22 follicles Sounds like you have pretty even cycles. Hopefully there is that beautiful normal egg in there that will go on to be the perfect embie! Did you speak to your FS about the trigger shot?

Welcome @Tinachris. Hoping your next cycle is the one too! Which specialist are you changing to? We all understand the strains of IVF and makes such a difference when you can chat to someone knowing they have been there or just understand.
