No Ducky don't give up hope yet! Transfer was only 9days ago yeah? Give it a couple more days! It's really not that long, I can't imagine how yucky all the meds are but you just never know. Maybe ring Wazza's office tomorrow for some insight. Thinking of you xx

@mummymaybe - Great news on the hcg levels and the fact you are feeling much better its onwards and upwards from here. Can't believe your MIL response to the news it just goes to show even if people have an idea of what we have been through to achieve pregnancy they can never really understand. Have you told anyone else yet and did you get a better response?
@ducky - Definitely dont give up yet hun its not over yet, stick with it you just never know. Big hugs it can be such a frustrating time.

Oh NO NO NO @Ducky01! I was so gunning for a different update from you today! At 15 days past EPU you would be hoping for a dark line, that’s true, but a faint line at that point is also not unusual in the slightest love. Your last pregnyl was on the 27th, yeah? What dose did you have? From everything I have read you are right on the border of the pregnyl either being gone or still showing up, so that line you are seeing could be the pregnyl, but could also be a BFP. All things considered I would say give it one more day before you call it and pull the pin. Tomorrow’s test should give you an answer either way I would think. I will be hoping and crossing everything for a darker line then in spite of how things look today. Huuuuuuge hugs lady – this part sucks big hairy dogs balls

@mummymaybe Oh my word, that comment from your MIL was a shocker! Talk about clueless! Sounds like something mine would say, bless her self-centred socks. I’m so glad your numbers are doing what they should though! Will you have any more BTs? When are you doing your sneaky scan??

Afm, started jabbing this morning. I’ve gone back to Gonal F and reduced the dose to 375 (which I’m nervous about since we only got 6 eggs last time on 450, but hey – I’m not a FS!) and also added in a daily shot of Luveris to try and boost quality. Will it work? Who bl**dy well knows… lol. I really hope it does though.

@Ducky01 - still could be too early love - please don't stop your meds until you're sure. What if it's a BFP not the pregnyl? Call the rooms and have a chat with the nurse I think love. I hope you're doing okay. I know how awful the regime is - I did it too. My belly is STILL awfully bruised and I have to start clexane again from tonight

Yay @MrsChino - fingers crossed this is your cycle love!! I have everything crossed for you!!

@MrsChino - just to touch base quickly about the dosage thing- were you on Menopur last time at 450? If so I don't think you can compare the dose to gonal f because menopur is a mix of LH and FSH and with the gonal f and luveris you are getting these separately. Plus don't panic about the egg number thing- I was on a lower dose one cycle and got 11 eggs and a slightly higher dose the next and got 6 eggs so go figure?!
great that you are starting again! Are you going to day 5 this time?

Does anyone know anything about back to back cycles? I don't know much - I've heard mixed things- some reports saying wait 1-2 cycles and others saying there's benefit from back to back. I don't even know if Wazza does them but I guess I can ask. I don't even know if I'm keen to do one! This fail has kind of raised the question about how many times we can go again before stopping and looking at adoption or something. As in maybe this is life trying to tell me we aren't supposed to have biological children and I should accept it and there could be another path. Which I am kind of coming to peace with a tiny bit more than I have been previously. Maybe it's the progesterone overdose and the clexane etc that's cured my IVF obsession for life, haha. My knees are so bruised from doing a gym class on clexane. I forgot to take my prednisone this morning and I've had a horrible day and still feel horrible, I took a catch up dose before. It's so crazy I'm on an adrenal gland suppressing dose of prednisone! Too many meds! It's borderline unsafe, haha. Oh the things we do/are willing to try.

@Ducky01 Thanks for that info about menopur/luveris, that makes more sense. I know – it is crazy how much variation there is from cycle to cycle! I had 15 eggs in Feb then 6 eggs in July on the same drug, same dose. It’s so stressful – I just dread waking up from EPU with a crap number again. We all know it only takes one yadda yadda but it’s still nerve-wracking when so many drop off after fertilisation, hey. I’m sorry yesterday was so rough. It does sound like you are on an awful lots of drugs which has got to make you feel pretty average. Have you POAS again this morning? Or spoken with Wazza’s office about stopping the meds or anything? I have been reading a bit about adoption too, and it just sounds so hard it pretty much puts me off which is sad when there are so many kids in need of a stable loving home. Does anyone know what the deal is with embryo donation in Australia? Waiting times, how often people actually donate their surplus embryos etc etc? I know we can do donor eggs and sperm overseas, but I’m just not sure how it all works here?

Also in relation to back to back cycles, my last FS wouldn’t hear of it, but FS2 seemed a bit more open to the idea when we said we’d like to squeeze in another cycle before the end of the year. I’ll see him on Tuesday, so will ask more about it then

Oh @Ducky01 we did our first wazza cycle in nov/dec last year and I vowed I would never do it again. It was awful and we had nothing to show for it. It took until March to even remotely feel like going again, I just needed the time to get over it.

Be kind to yourself and take time if you need it. Cycling with Wazza is much harder than my old specialist and I think you need to remember that.

I work with a lady who had heaps of left over embryos. She's donated 2 which has resulted in 1 baby. She is planning to donate more, I know it was done to strangers but she has received photos and updates on the new bubba.

Maybe have a look at this site.
