I am someone who suffers from anxiety and depression. So I know changes can set me off and my normally somewhat cool calm and collected self just falls in a messy heap.

I would suggest seeing your go to get a mental health plan. Just because you sound like you need to really talk to someone.

And regarding the bottling things up and fights - it happens. If you can, just calmly write down your feelings, what you want and need from the relationship and the kids. Ask your DP to do the same. You can both read each other's lists and together figure things out.

Getting the kids involved in chores etc is great. Also, with his kids they might lash out at you. It's not YOU that is the issue but they are trying to make sense of it all. Are they having counselling? It would be a good idea.

I truly hope it works out for you.

Thank you ...... I'm still on waiting list for the psychologist to see mental health plan was not long ago reviewed & my depression &;anxiety is getting worse today I thought about self harm again & how I could hide it from everyone feeling like I need a release & don't understand my own head . I feel like such a crazy person atm my highs are good but my lows & being overwhelmed are getting worse :-(

I like the list idea a lot cause I feel like I have trouble trying to explain to DP how I feel & get frustrated & snap I think the list would help getting things across without having to argue to get it all out.

DPs kids aren't having counseling I this his DS needs to though with his anxiety issues it's a touchy subject with DP so I don't know how to approach it really ??

Just wondering if you could call and ask to be on a cancellation list? Or at least advise them that your situation has become worse. They may be able to get you an emergency or earlier appointment.

I hope your day and week get a little better. And hopefully the AD will start working to help ease it a little (I know the first few days are horrid when you start so I know it will get worse before it gets better). Let us know how you get on or if you just need to vent.

thanks we've only got My DD until Friday & she's at daycare today tomorrow & wed so it's a lot quieter & less stressful so far she woke up looking for the other kids this morning though cause she was asleep when dropped off last night ....
I've called doctor this morning git an appointment for tomorrow to sort out antidepressants & counseling I've been on effexor since I was 15 (chopped & changed) & came off it cause it wasnt helping anymore I was too stressed & it wasn't metabolizing properly but I've found I can't deal with not being on it so I'll be speaking about dosages etc or even switching to pristiq again I've tried a fair few antidepressants & some helped some made me feel worse &others just didn't help at all so hoping seeing psychologist sooner can help too
