Unhappy Does anyone know the timeframe for PGD for Genea? Is their lab closing in Dec 15

My first post... hope to get some helps. pls...
I am in my 30's and have just passed my blood test sample to Genea for workup. They said it take about 10-14 weeks to complete the workup. Does it really takes that long??

Heard that they have lab closure in Dec 15.

And testing the embryos takes another 3 weeks after the first collections.
Again, does it takes 3 weeks??

Struggle, looks like we have to wait til next yr for collections and transfer.

    Hi
Our FS does IVF at both WFC and genea. We are also doing pgd.
I remember him saying that it takes that long 10- 14 weeks for the work up. I'm not sure why that is because it takes 2-4 weeks at WFC.
My DH has had the gene identified but the test at genea still takes long? Unless we understood wrong.

Anyway sorry can't be of any help. Hope someone can clear it up for us

    Good luck

Thanks for your sharing. Im still new to ivf. You have mentioned wfc, does it stand for westmead fertility center?
I have been searching for public ivf to lower the ivf cost but no luck. None of them offer pgd. Sadly....

BTW I have my DNA report handed to genea as well before the workup too. However it still takes 10-14 weeks.
