One tip I learned while looking to buy a second hand Ergo online was to play close attention to the stitching (and labels). Sounds like a small thing but most fakes just cannot match the stitching perfectly.

    Example.

    Real Ergo.

    Fake Ergo

You can see the stitching easily on the fake and the label is sloppily attached too.

    I didn't look at 360s but I would imagine it's the same

Thanks @Phony and @maternidade. That warning label looks quite different to the one my friend has.... Whereabouts on your carrier is the serial number located? I am suspecting she has a fake.

It's on the same section as the warning it's that little tag on the top of the pic ( with the warning label)

I also have a 360 if you need any more pics.

How much did your friend pay?

Thanks very much. She wouldn't tell me exactly how much it was, but quite a bit cheaper than in the baby stores she said... (she thought this was because it was second hand). It really does sound like it's a fake unfortunately. She can's see any serial number on it at all, and the warning label is quite different. Live and learn... if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Can she try get a refund through paypal? I did an ebay search and there is one seller selling them for $80. Im guessing it's that one as all the others are more like what you pay in the shops.
