Congrats @stillfuntryin my beta was 10k at 5 weeks exactly, are you 5.5 weeks now? It sounds ok for a singleton but these things can always go either way. Wouldn't be long til your scan now too.
I don't know how I'd feel about twins since I'd have 3 two and under but it's all a blessing and an exciting one at that. I don't think it would take me long to embrace it all.
I'm feeling a bit strange about being in limbo at the moment. Don't know why my cycle hasn't started when I'm actually wanting it to
I had a natural pregnancy about 6 years ago where my levels were through the roof. (I'm talking 50,000 or something like that). It ended up being a molar pregnancy which is extremely rare. It's when the embryo goes to split to twins but it doesn't work and then you get a growth that's like a tumour and it sends out so much HCG. At ultrasound there was no heart beat and I had a miscarriage a few weeks after. Then I had to go on this special watch as it can turn cancerous. So your monitored for 6 months. The only good news is the chances of it happening are really really low and he chances of it happening again are even lower. Was a pretty hard time though.
@still fun tryin I am so happy for you! Beautiful big strong twins I'm thinking ! my first bloods are tomorrow .. I keep checking to make sure my little pink lines are getting darker.. makes me feel a little less stressed and gets me through each day lol -
Oh by the way, that was a typo, my levels for molar were 500,000 (just so u ladies know and no one gets scared that's it's happening to them.
We managed to get 3 eggs yesterday & 2 have fertilised - much better result than the 0 embryos we got last time. Booked in for double embryo transfer tomorrow!
Pregnant for the first-time?
