@Annerley how are you going? My bt is the 2nd seems like forever but not holding out much hope yet i just feel wierd.
Welcome to the new ladies.
Hey @pillowhead, my DS was a day 3 embryo! Our clinic do them as standard because my specialist just reckons that humans are the best incubator there are!
I'm also 3 days past another 3 day transfer... Hopefully I'll have another happy story for you about 3 day embies
Sorry I'm so bad at catching up with this thread, but sorry to all with negative results good luck to all who are still pupo or not up to transfer yet, and congratulations to all those with bfps!
Oh @jeb8303 this is perfect time for cramping! That's that little embryo burrowing deep into your uterus! I knew once the cramping started that this cycle worked!!
And about the 3 day embryos, i did a three day for my first transfer only because I retrieved 6 egg and 5 fertilised, some specilaists think that embryos that arrest between day 3 and 5 may have survived if they were put back at day 3, so if you only have a small amount of embryos you specialist will put one or two back earlier because it is the most optimal place for it to be, i was very lucky that my remaining 4 made it to day 5/6. There are higher success rates for 5 day embryos only because these are the strongest.
@stillfuntryin I’m really just going off what my doctor has told me.
A quick google search came up with this:
Progynova Tablets (oestradiol valerate)
Origin and action.
Progynova is a synthetic hormone replacement for oestrogen. It is used to build up the lining of the uterus in preparation for embryo transfer during a thaw cycle for women who do not ovulate regularly.
Dosage and administration.
Progynova is usually taken daily starting on day one of the cycle but the nurses will confirm the starting day and dose. The medication is taken daily until the day of the pregnancy test and if the test confirms pregnancy the tablets are continued for another six weeks. If the test is negative, the tablets are stopped and a period will start within a few days.
From what my doctor said though, it sounds like it has it’s limits. Perhaps it will only stop your period for a certain amount of time. He said I could take it for 50 something days until I’m ready for a transfer.
@jeb8303 and @katt1011 I really hope you’re wrong! I have my fingers crossed for you both.
Hi @pillowhead, my embryo’s are all 3 day.
@rainbow road It makes me so happy to read that your DS is a 3 day embryo! Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this one!
@Tanej78 Good luck!!
@Annerley Thank you so much! Hope things speed up a bit for you too!
@stillfuntryin Was your first (3 day) transfer successful?
When I did my egg pickup, I was 20 and didn’t know there was such a thing as a 5 day transfer. I didn’t even know what a 3 day transfer was!
