Hopefully, we'll be starting a new cycle (our 4th) in November. DH is going overseas for work in October so we decided to start again once he's back.

Thank you for creating this thread. I'd never thought that it would take us this long to conceive, even after doing ICSI.

Hi Ladies!!!!!! I was in the Aug/September thread but i wont be cycling until October, second time round for me too! I had my son with my second attempt but first FET in November last year, he turns 10 months in a week! I'm just waiting on bloods to get the all clear I'm still relatively normal before I start so i have a phone conference with my FS on Tuesday, we are confident all is ok and i will be starting my meds once my period starts.
So I'm really looking forward to it! I'm 1dpo from a natural cycle so who knows we could get lucky but we shall see!

    Welcome @Kookii and @stillfuntryin
@Kookii, where abouts is hubby at the moment? I really hope this cycle is a lucky one for you!
@stillfuntryin, how fast does time go with a little one?! I have my pre- screening bloods on Monday and the clinic said I'll need another ultrasound as I haven't had one since we were investigating our infertility so I'm due for another. The nurse said they like to check everything is still ok in there after having a baby.
Hopefully you have a lucky month this month!
@pillowhead, we pay a monthly fee of $35 to keep our embryos frozen and I didn't pay for any meds except the pill, which is fairly cheap. I know some others I've come across have had to pay for their meds and I got an email from my clinic a few months ago saying that something has changed and meds now have to be paid for. I'll be having a non-medicated cycle though.
i was nervous about the injections as well but they were actually fine. I just got to pick mine up from the clinic and the nurse offered to do the first one and I couldn't believe how painless it was. The needles are really fine. I did get hubby to do the rest, which definitely helped. I really have a low pain threshold too so I'm sure you will be fine. Try and pick a new spot each one so you aren't re-doing the same area in case it gets tender. I tried to do right side one night and left side the next.
When do you do your first one?
We went to Europe in 2013, just before we did our Ivf cycle. Once we found out we probably weren't going to conceive quickly, we took the time to book a trip. It was nice to do something we wouldn't have been able to do had we conceived when we first started trying.

☺️Thank you @Annerley! Hubby is still with me. Thing is, after the unsuccessful cycle now I'm still waiting for af (egg collection was 9 days ago). We'll have a chat with our FS to see what's next (she didn't expect to have such an unsuccessful fertilisation rate). Hubby is going overseas in October, so I think we'll be able to start again in November. I'd love to start right now though. This is taking forever 😔

@Kookii, sorry to hear you've had 3 unsuccessful cycles. I really hope this next one works out for you.
@stillfuntryin good luck this cycle! 😊
@Annerley what do you have to do for your cycle? Thanks for the info about the needles, that makes me feel much better about having to use them. Im not sure when I start, I am supposed to call the fertility clinic the day I get my period to start taking the needles the following day but because of our holiday I probably will have to wait for my next period before I start. I'm not actually sure when my period is due but I think it's in the next couple of days. So hopefully in just over a month I'll start my cycle.

@Annerly i cant beleive how quick it goes! Before L i could only think about trying for a baby, i have peed on so many things but this time around im way more relaxed! I had my pre IVF ultrasound last cycle and the tonnes of bloods they want also, im just hoping they are fine!!As far as needles go my DH sucked at doing them so i did my own, i found an ice pack for a few minutes first completly numbed the skin and it was so easy! My successful FET was a hormone replacement therapy cycle so i will be doing the same proticol again! Such exciting times ahead for all of us

@Kookii I'm sorry to hear you didn't have any fertilise in your last cycle. That would have been very upsetting for you. Hopefully your af comes in a few days and your cycle is back on track! I know what you mean about not wanting to wait to start. I'm glad we have our holiday coming up to pass the time otherwise I'd really be wishing the time away. I'm sure our cycle will be here before we know it.

@pillowhead definitely try not to worry about them. That was the part I was dreading the most and without a doubt the hardest part was the waiting in between the transfer and the pregnancy testing. If you keep still (and don't jump like I did once) then it's likely you won't feel them.
I haven't done a frozen transfer before but from what I've heard, I just have to call them when my period arrives at the end of October and they will schedule me in for a scan and blood test just before the middle of my cycle so they can track ovulation. I think it's about day 9 of my cycle before I have to go in and depending on how things are looking, they will just tell me what day to come back and that will continue until they pinpoint ovulation day. Five days after, I'll go in for a transfer and then 9 days after that I'll have the blood test to test for hcg levels. I think that's it! Not sure whether I'll have to have progesterone meds in the second half of the cycle or whether that's only for fresh cycles.

@stillfuntryin I poas once on dpo 13 last time, it was a last minute decision to do the test. I'd kind of given up testing while ttc, once we were told we'd need Ivf. I do hope that having a little one will be a good distraction and definitely agree that it should mean I'm a lot more relaxed this time. When will you find out the results of the scan and bloods? I will be relieved if the scan comes back all clear, I'm not having any symptoms of anything being wrong just because I'm really hoping that there isn't going to be anything that delays me from being able to start.

I have a phone appointment on Tuesday, i live in a remote part of QLD on a cattle property so i have to drive 9hrs to Cairns for my treatment, we own a house there so I just go back and forth between the two, we had a Cerebral palsy scare with my little man and we're seeing a physio every month so it feels like I never really left town but he is all good and has just started walking which ales me so proud!!

Spoke to my fertility specialist today and explained about the fact that my holiday will be in the way of starting this cycle. It just means that things will be pushed back a month, I'm thinking with the new time line and all things going to plan I could possibly be pregnant by the end of October! Pretty exciting! I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I'm excited at the possibility 😊

    Hi ladies
This is my first post on the forum. I'm in the 2WW for my first FET. The fresh transfer last month was a BFN and I POAS this cycle so I think this month's FET is a BFN too . So I thought for October I'd jump on a forum for some support on my next FET. I have been reading posts over the last two months and that was very helpful in itself. Looking forward to hearing from others who can relate to the experience (although I wish none of us were experiencing it).

I work on a construction site off Gladstone on the coast of Queensland and I thought the three hour return trip (and day delay in results) to get bloods done in Gladstone was bad enough. @stillfuntryin I imagine your 9 hour drive to Cairns and back is a bit of a pain. All worth it for a successful outcome of course. Do your blood samples have to get sent to Brisbane so there is a delay or are they analysed in Cairns? I hope your phone appointment went well today.
@pillowhead how wonderful to have a holiday to relax before starting the cycle. Good on you for having a positive attitude.
@Annerley For both my fresh and FET cycle I had the progesterone after transfer until the end of 2WW. Crinone in the morning and then progesterone pessary at night. They were free before 1 July 2015 so I had to pay for them the second cycle and the pessaries are much cheaper than the crinone (but inconvenient when you have to lie down for half an hour after them and that doesn't really work when going to work at 6am...)
