Thanks for asking it was unfortunately a BFN. It is definitely a mixture of challenging and supportive. At the moment I think it's hard for DP to get excited about my transfer on the back of her BFN. Also, my blood test is scheduled for the due date of the baby we lost in April, so it's going to be very bittersweet for both of us that day.

But it's also lovely knowing that she knows (and vice versa) exactly what it's like, the needles, the toll on your body, the emotional roller coaster etc.

Hi Ladies ! I am currently in the middle of injections .. have my first ultrasound on Tuesday to see how my follicles are going for EPU .. its a crazy experience .. so much goes through your head!

We are dealing with male infertility.. Vasectomy .. We had a reversal late last year with Dr Rombaults at Monash .. Unfortunatley that didn't work so now on our first cycle ! here to chat !

Hi Pillow head My nurse told me that one glass of red a day during injections is ok.. I find it has actually helped me relieve stress at the end of a busy day and sip that wine for two hours lol .. She also told me to start needles the second day of full flow.. So I spotted on day one and got full flow that evening but didn't start needles till the following evening since it was a day of full flow.. Im new to all this too so have been on gonal F and just started oralgutron (Spelt?) today.. I have my follicle scan on Tuesday.. So far so good .. Good luck with everything !

    Thanks @allykat111, @stillfuntrying, @Evelynmoo and @itsgunnahappen

Allykat - I laughed out loud at your 'half cut' story! Don't think I'll be doing that!

Evelyn- my clinic is closed and they only have an emergency contact number. I don't know this is classed as an emergency. I agree with you both though, I think I'll wait till my full flow arrives. I'm sure that must have been what the clinic said, there was so much information to take in! I should have recorded it haha

Itsgunnahappen- I looked on my clinics website, they have a booklet on there that says only drink alcohol a couple times a week. I feel better knowing that your nurse said one glass of red a day was ok too. I don't plan on drinking after tonight so surely one night should be alright.
I think I will be starting the same injections as you! Did you have yours at night? How did you find the Gonal F injections? Good luck with your scan!

Hi Pillow head - I am on 250 a night of gonal F.. The needle is fine so far.. The other one I started today has a sting to it .. icing helps and putting it on an angle.. a friend told me this and she was spot on.. So far I have been fine on the needles.. I find after I have taken the gonal f going to bed is good lol - I feel a little full and swollen but that's it so far (touch wood!) Sometimes I get a little dizzy during the day .. I'm a teacher tho and days are full on.. the pamphlet said that's a normal side effect. Thanks for the well wishes ! Have a great day at the wineries !

That's great news @Evelynmoo! I hope you get a good number fertilised out of the 16

Glad the EPU went ok too, mine hurt at one point where I apparently had a fimbrial cyst on my fallopian tube that looked like a follicle (?) and when tried to penetrate hurt like a ****** (add your own expletive)!! Other than that all was good too.

I'm a teacher too! I will be starting on 100 Gonal f at night. I'm still spotting, so just waiting on AF to show. I never thought I'd be so excited to get my period or have needles in my life haha! Let me know how your ultra sound goes on Tuesday.

@pillowhead. With the drinking, someone said to me. Think about how many pregnancies result from a night on the turps. Lol

Beat advice I got for doing needles was to put an ice pack on it before as your skin will be completely numb and don't put 2 drugs close togther and that will stop the bruising, i put GonalF and orgalutran too close together once and got the biggest bruise!
