Default Ebay cheapies vs First Response

    Hi all,

    I'm new to this forum.

I have ebay cheapies (I'm a POSA addict) and have just got a new batch. Today i have had 3 very faint positives on the eBay ones, my husband i went down to safeway and got some brand tests and i did one that came back negative.

Has anyone else had this experience?

    Thanks in advance

Hi ! I think its because the ebay cheapies are far more sensitive than the brand ones. Ive had this happen just recently and bought a brand one and tested with it a few days later and got a faint positive with that one and strong positive with ebay one. Id say congrats to u ! Xxxx

    Hi Tam,

Same again today, although the strip test from the chemist shows with a faint positive but the first response stick test is still a BFN...

    !!

    And Tam Congratulations to you!!

Im still getting the negative on the sticks and positive on the eBay tests... doing my head in! I think the eBay sticks might be faulty..

@MM03- get your DH to test using your ebay cheapy- if it comes back positive, you know they are dodgy.
Also, the First response early result tests (white, case-type) and more sensitive then the dip-type stick tests. Try one of the FRER if you want best sensitivity.
    Good luck

An update to this: Definitely BFN..

I would recommend against buying from this particular eBay store.. Hindsight is a B***h...

There are a couple of negative reviews saying all 20 of their HPT are positive, including their husbands.

Oh well, back to BD for us!

    Thanks for your replies!!

Im absolutely gobsmacked about the ebay tests and slightly worried now. Ive done two dip test first response ones about 4 days ago with a faint -medium positive but all ebay ones have shown a good positive. Ill but first response in ****** test tomm

Default Ebay cheapies vs First Response

I bought a bunch of poas cheapies from a website called pregnancyshop.com.au

I got a pack of 25 for $12.50. can't remember if I paid postage, possibly but it wasn't more than a few bucks.

I kept getting bfns and was convinced they were all rubbish until I got my bfp! tested using another and it was also positive then confirmed with one of those digital tests that gives you how many weeks along you are.

they're those basic sticks but they work. delivery was quite quick too.

I got sick of spending $10 every time on a frer.
