You will know because it is kinda bloody. They broke mine and it was a gush. If you aren't sure, put a pad and bring it to the hospital, they will test.

Yes, just trying to survive the first 10w. I hope it is the typical 6w rather than 10w! I am already counting down. It seems like we constantly counting down. LOL.

Good luck @Gelati. I hope bub shows up soon. I'll pop in whenever i have time. Bub is really unsettle again.........

@Gelati what a nice day in Melb today. Did you go out for a walk or a swim? I wonder when your bubba decides to show up.

I'm feeling ok. Have public bone pain again but not too bad. I think it's because I walked a lot this weekend and didn't have a good posture when walking. I did a lot of squats last week so my quads are sore hence bad walking posture

Also I can't eat as much. Feel like I'm about to explode so I think the trick now is regular meal but smaller portion. Not my three meals a day.

Midwife said water can break before or after contraction. There is no right or wrong. Also some can be coloured some can be quite clear. As long not green-ish colour it's all good. I was just a bit concerned because I found having discharge a lot more these days (sorry tmi) so wasn't sure if I will know when my water breaks. I shouldn't have to worry for a few more weeks at least. Only 32 weeks. Baby not ready yet.
@bbhope is it 6 weeks typically to settle into a routine? I thought it was 8-10 weeks? Anyway you are a few weeks down now so hopefully things settle in more.

@Minib - also not brown colour I heard. But if your water breaks in the shower you might not know what colour it is 😁

I'm wondering whether because Bub is posterior means it's harder for me to go into labour because Bub isn't putting the right pressure onto the cervix? I mean he's fully engaged now and I feel so much aches and rubbing on cervix and already had spotting so what's holding him up?? Hah can you tell I'm getting frustrated??

I've got pelvic pain again now too minib. It was a beautiful day but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it too much. Feeling heavy, achy and frustrated. I haven't slept well the past 2 nights. Haven't gone swimming. Went for 2 walks instead hoping to bring on labour. No such luck.

Smaller more frequent meals is better for digestion and you won't pack on the weight.

I don't think you'll miss your waters breaking. It'll be different to discharge. You could miss mucus plug falling out tho.

A quick one. Bub isn't feeling well today. He has gotten me worried. I wanted to go to the emergency dept but DH just told me to observe. Basically, there were few occasions that he couldn't breath due to severe congestion. I have to pick him straight away from the cot. Holding him upright seems to solve the problem. Anyway, he seems ok now but it will be a restless night for me to pay attention of his breathing. We got a bit frustrated today because of him not sleeping and eating well. We will make an appt to see paediatrician tmr (hopefully).
@Gelati: ps: once the epi worn off. I did feel the urge to push at some point when I went to the loo. They made u go to the loo before each top up. I was told to lean forward to stop the urge because Bub wasn't far down enough to be pushed.

How is bub today @bbhope? How scary. Maybe he has a little cold? I know you said he was shivering when feeding one night?

I thought they put a catheter in so how come you need to go to the loo? or is this to do a #2?

I didn't realise they actually let the epi wear off. No wonder you felt some pain in between....maybe it's better that way so you don't get too much epi? I will ask ob today what the induction process is like.

Ok ladies seen OB and he did a cervix check and said it's still a bit posterior and i'm not far enough dilated so i still need the gel to soften and dilate the cervix. So i'm booked in for gel on Thu night and membrane ruptures on Fri morning. If i don't progress then i'll get the drip. Eeeek!!! i guess it doesn't look like bub is coming before Thu. Tho this morning i thot i may have lost a little bit of mucus plug. Not that that means anything from what i've read online. people can lose it gradually over a few weeks! so i guess it's induction for me.

@Gelati are you feeling ok about the whole thing? Sounds good to have a plan?
@bbhope oh no how's your son today? Is he breathing better? Will humidifier help Bub to breathe better? I think you can get a humidifier for the room?

They let me try to have wee myself. They only put in the catherer after my 2nd top up when i can no longer wee myself. It was embarrassing because i couldn't control my gas!

Bub is doing better today. I called the midwife and she wanted us to observe. He is still rather unsettled today. Normally, when we feed him a lot, he can sleep for 1.5hrs but so far 1hr is the longest he can sleep and with 2 hr feed time, which is longer than usual. I know it is against the rule. I had him on my chest last night so i could have a decent 2hrs sleep before the next feed. DH is going back to work tomorrow. Cry......

That's good to hear he is doing better. the vaporiser seems to be like a good idea. I've read that babies like the vaporiser in general....a bit of moisture in the air. Not sure how true that is.

ooh poor you - 2hr feed time and then only 1-1.5hr sleeping. I would fall asleep with bub in that case as well. Wow that went by fast...DH already going back to work. Hopefully your mum will be helpful and bub starts sleeping for longer periods.
@Minib - i am a bit scared of induction but my OB is really good. He said he's not got much on for those 2 days he's booked me in so he's happy to start the gel, wait and see if i start things naturally over a 14 hr period, if not he'll break waters, then wait and then if not, he will put in drip. That makes me feel a bit better. But i've lost a bit more of my MP today (def MP today, was quite obvious) so maybe he'll still come before Thu evening???
