    Default Bulgy cesarean scar

    Hi ladies!

Has anyone else found that their scar has heald but the scar seems rather thick, almost like a bulge? Hoping I ain't alone and that the scar tissue will break up and go down

Yep, 2.5 years down the track, my scar is still quite bumpy if that's what you mean.

I can't remember how long mine was like that, it felt like forever. But now 4 years on its not only flat but faded considerably. And I normally scar quite badly. Don't give up hope time will help - how long has it been for you OP?

Mine is keloid too, I've had 2 sections now, for the second one they removed the keloid scar completely in the hope the next scar would be better but it's the same, pink and raised.

    It's been 3 years.

Oh gosh in that case definitely don't freak out just yet! Mine was horrendous at 4 weeks, and I still had swelling around it etc. I think it was 6 months before the skin above firmed up, I thought I'd be left with a loose pocket of skin! Everyone heals differently. I also kept rubbing stretch mark oil into it for about 3 months post birth everyday, and then every now and then with rosehip oil. I really do think that stuff helps.

Mine is hidden under my big saggy belly.

    At 4 weeks I definitely wouldn't worry!
