Default Baby hair visible on ultrasound - colour?

I had an ultrasound yesterday and bub (34+3) had heaps of hair visible! For those who have experienced this, did your baby turn out to have dark hair when born? It seems like all the really hairy babies I've seen have had dark hair and you rarely see a fair haired baby with loads of hair at birth.

I know you can't tell the colour of the hair on ultrasound, but just thinking that there seems to be a link between lots of hair and dark hair? My DS is blonde and had fuzzy little hair for ages, so a hairy baby will be very different, especially if it's dark hair!

Both my babies were super hairy at birth. I could actually do a pony tail with my daughter's hair...!

But I've never ever seen it on a scan. They both have dark hair.

I remember one scan (about 32 weeks?) with dd1 they said she had a lot of hair- I couldnt tell from the scan though so took their word for it. She was born with a mop of black hair, and had a really hairy back too (dark hair, not that cute baby fuzz) and still does to this day.

I was told with dd at a growth scan later in the pregnancy that they could tell she had lots of hair! I had no idea they would even be able to see hair on ultrasound.

She was born with dark beautiful hair She is 9 weeks today & everyone comments on her lovely hair & how much of it she has

Dd was born with a lot of dark hair. I didn't have an ultrasound after 20 weeks though so no idea if I could be seen or not.
Her dark hair fell out and now she has light brown hair with golden highlights.

I had a lot of scans with ds due to a high risk pregnancy. Towards the end of my pregnancy you could definitely see the hair and I had the heartburn as well.

He was born with a full head of almost black hair. His hair is lighter now with goldey highlights

We could see visibly hair at 32w. Our dd was born with med brown hair that went lighter. Now at 17 mths it's still not as dark as at birth

my friend has just had a beautiful little girl with loads of spiky standing straight up, very very light brown hair, infact almost blonde. Her hair is probably 3cm long and really thick. She is adorable.
