Highly recommend this book, it details the calorie/kj, carb etc value of every single food product you can imagine, including the menus from takeaway joints, every single item is listed, plus all fresh and packaged foods and also alcoholic drinks. It's a handy little reference book, I forgot I had it until I found it today in the bottom of DD's toybox, lol...

@Marigold, you have to do what your body is telling you. I for one would find it near impossible to fast if I was feeling anxious/depressed. Start fresh another day!

Did anyone watch Is Sugar the New Fat on SBS last night. I think it pretty much reinforces what we already know - that sugar is added to everything on the supermarket shelves and that low fat is bad! I've started reading That Sugar Book too. I find it all so interesting that there's a huge movement back to whole/real foods.

Calorie Counter is a great app for that too! It has a dietary breakdown of so many products. It made my life much easier when I had GD. It was my go-to source before I ate anything.

She's stolen my book again! Why is my 3 year old obsessed with this? First I find it in her toy box, now today she's gone and taken it again and put it back in her room, lol.. I think it's all the pics of food in it that she likes 😃
ETA- at least someone's getting use out of it 😉 I've done nothing in the way of weightloss for over a week and am feeling it...

I will be weighing in on Friday. only going to have two sessions at the gym this week, but I am in control of the food so I should be ok. perhaps I will need to start wearing the pedometer and reaching 10000 steps each day to make up for less time at the gym. ? good work everyone. marie.

I'm being good in regards to food and I have my fitbit on since Monday and I'm averaging 6,000 steps a day but I'm struggling to escape 3 kids for 30 mins on the treadmill to bring that up to 10,000 daily.
    It's just not happening.
